Very tasty. Stopped and ordered 4 meals for Christmas Eve dinner. All good! Stop by! You won't regret it.

Like many of the other reviews, I too have been a loyal customer of Yu Fong. For the past decade, I have had nothing but praise for this local restaurant. From the initial phone order "Yu Fong, can I help you?" to the meticulous double check of the accuracy of your order before you leave, everything was top notch. I know now that I took for granted the overflowing containers of fried rice, or the almond cookie that the owner would slip in occasionally as a treat. The price was always a little higher than the competition, but the fresh ingredients and delicious dishes was well worth it.Fast forward to today. The previous owners sold/retired and current owners are on their way to destroying Yu Fong's legacy. In all fairness, today was the new owners 3rd opportunity to win me over. 3 strikes and unfortunately I'm out. I really wanted to like it, but even the staple chow mien was lacking substance and completely watery packaged in a 3/4 full container. The prices are still higher than the competition, and yet the food is subpar. It might seem petty, but it bothers me that the little things like answering the phone with "hello", or not saying thank you when you leave. The first time that I called I had to ask if I had the right number. What kind of business answers the phone with a lowly "hello"? Even their switch to plastic bags and containers is disappointing, displaying that the harm to our environment isn't even noticed. Almond cookie? Forget about it, you won't even get one of those bulk prepackaged fortune cookies...or at least I didn't today. Quality control or cost cuts, either way it shows this is no longer the Yu Fong that we all have come to love.Perhaps the only redeeming quality of this new change in ownership is knowing that the previous owners are enjoying their hard earned retirement. It saddens me to think that the reputation that they worked so hard for over the years can deteriorate so quickly. I'll go mourn somewhere else.

This is my first, and probably last time I will eat here. Not because of the food quality, but because I am only visiting the area for the night and more than likely won't be back anytime soon. Had ya going there, didn't I? Anyway, this really wasn't as bad as some of the previous reviews have stated. The biggest problem I see here is just lack of flavor. Pretty much bland. By no means was it awful. I actually ate the whole thing. I got a small portion of Kung Pao chicken, which comes with a side of rice. The portion, for me, was perfect. The sauce did sink to the bottom. I added small portions of rice to the container to mix it all together. So, yeah. Maybe a thicker sauce so it adheres to the rest of the entree? I was satisfied and probably would return. The gentleman who greeted me and took my order was really nice, too. I was happy.

My coworkers and I used to come for lunch when we were working at the office. Quick and easy, I would always order the lunch combination. Huge portions and delicious. It's a small restaurant with bright walls and offers to go orders only, just a counter and chairs to wait for the food. A guy greeted me at the counter and took my order, very nice and suggestive. My food was ready in 5 minutes. Last time I was there was in 2019, it still looks the same and food still tastes the same.

Wide selection on menu. Ample portions when ordering either the large or small size selection...large is easily shared by two. To go only shop with everything ready in 15 minutes from time of order. Egg rolls can be a meal alone; tried the Veggie one, was delicious so will have to try the others next time.

We have been coming to Yu Fong for years and it's a staple in our household. The sesame chicken is crispy, meaty, and flavorful. The fried rice is always packed full. The wontons are fried perfectly and pair beautifully with the cream cheese filling. A lunch portion (pictured) is more than enough for one person, and could honestly be split between two hungry adults. We've tried many restaurants similar to this in the North Western/Western part of the cities, and we have yet to find a spot we enjoy more than Yu Fong. We don't live in Maple Grove anymore and we intentionally make the drive to bring this home. Note: this is a very small restaurant. Expect to take the food away/home to eat.

I am so sad my husband and I use to love this place and got it today and it was HORRIBLE-weird taste, no sauce, just all around bad. Again such a shame because it was once high quality.

I have been coming here for years and always outstanding. The last 2 times it has been terrible. First time I was ok, it's a fluke; second time was ok that was the last time. I ordered spicy garlic shrimp which had no spice, no garlic, the sauce was just water and my egg drop soup was burnt and inedible. Shame she sold her business, it was a staple in the neighborhood, but it won't last long now

My family picked up food it was fast and friendly service and once we got the food home and dug in I haven't heard that many mmmm's since Christmas dinner. The egg rolls were fantastic I don't think I have ever had better. And the fried dumplings were delicious. All the dipping sauces were great too as well as the fried rice. My son got chicken wings and they were super crunchy on the outside and juicy. We can't wait to go again and try more.

This place used to be one of the best. Now it is under new ownership and they changed everything. Under the old ownership The vegetables you could tell by looking at them they were fresh. And it tasted awesome. The new owners need a lesson in cooking. It is garbage now. So sad. I would not even give them one star but that is as low as I can go.
