The employees were extremely nice and the place is cute. Parking is minimal and when we arrived, we had to park in the grass. I'm not a wine drinker, but I did partake in the wine tasting. The wine tasting is $6 and you taste 6 different wines. They start off with two White, then one pink, and then three red wines. There was also a "bonus" wine you get and it's a hot version. I can't say much else, since I don't usually choose to drink wine. The wine on the taste test ranged from $17-$20 a bottle. They also give a free bottle if you buy four of them.On the side you can taste the different types of malt vinegar and olive oils they have. This was by far a far more interesting thing to me. There was a flavor "Blackberry Ginger" that just rocked my socks off. I didn't buy a bottle, but I should have.

Really beautiful grounds, friendly staff, plenty of parking, and a cozy tasting room. We enjoyed the live music out on the patio. My only issue is that the wine was not very good quality. And overpriced at $17 per bottle. I mean, I know it is Minnesota, but I've also experienced better at other wineries like Anton Bailey in Hastings.Shawn's Tip: free cheese and sausage at Happy Hour! (We were there on a Saturday)

Had some trouble finding the winery. We are unfamiliar with this area, but we soon found it and very pleased with the grounds. It's a quiet, scenic vineyard with gazebo, lush green lawns and a patio with fire pit.Went into the tasting room for the full tasting menu. Had a Groupon that included eight different wines (whites, a couple of reds, port and hot apple wine), souvenir wine glasses with a full glass of your choice of wine, chocolates/cheese plate and a full bottle of wine to take home. We found the wines good. Woodland Hills took eight medals at the 2010 Cold Climate Wine Competition and they offer 14 varieties. Most of the wines are semi-dry made from grapes grown on the property. Reds were very different than other reds we have tried elsewhere. Pretty tasting room that had tables to eat, but when we were there no one was eating just at the bar counter for tastings. They also have many infused olive oils that you can sample.Took our glasses of wine outside to enjoy the beautiful fall day. Sat around the firepit and had an enjoyable afternoon! Looking forward to taking family here for a special Minnesota outing. They offer activities for every season including sleigh rides, Girls Night Out, art fairs and grape stomp.

This place could benefit from more attentive, knowledgeable staff, for starters. The wine is served in Robitussin cups! I kid not. The small plastic cup on a cough medicine container? That is what you use for your tastings.Bring your own wine glass to improve the experience, maybe the owners will take the hint.

Love this winery. Amazingly picturesque, charming tasting room with thoughtful staff. I bought many oil and vinegar combos as thank you gifts. So proud of Minnesota wineries for taking awards in the 'sweeter' categories. Loved this venue so much we are having an event there! Carriage rides!!

Cute! Overall one of the better winery experiences I've had in Minnesota, which isn't saying a lot in terms of wine quality (I am an admitted Californian wine snob), but it was worth the trip and a fun experience! We got a Living Social that was a great deal - a tasting of all 9 of their wines plus a glass of your fave for two, and chocolates to boot. Good chocolates! A grand marnier, a sea salt caramel one.. And something else I can't remember.Their wines were pretty good for Minnesota wines! Whites were a bit overly sweet, but reds were nice. Overall vibe was cute and laid back. They also had delish bison summer sausage and cranberry chipotle cheese for sale, and a full olive oil and balsamic tasting bar. Noms. Beautiful wedding going on among the vines while we were there, too! This was a nice, romantic way to spend a Saturday afternoon. I'd do it again for sure!

Gorgeous farm setting--Minnesota at its best! I preferred a couple of the white wines over the red. Only wished that when I bought a glass to take outside and sip, it would have been served in a goblet rather than a plastic cup. The wind swept away my wine at about the half-way mark which was a disappointment. I suggested to the proprietor that glass would be better than plastic, explaining the mishap. He expressed no concern or interest. That response lost a star...

We spent a nice Saturday afternoon here this past weekend. The grounds are beautiful. The tasting was nice - plenty of wines to taste. This isn't Napa but the wine is light and easy drinking. The wine pourers knew little to nothing about the wines. If you are a wine snob it might not be your thing, but we found a decent Rose and bought a bottle to sit on the patio and drink while listening a wonderful live music group - the BZ girls. We bought a cheese wedge and some chocolates and enjoyed the weather and music. Worth the trip for a relaxing, pleasant trip outside the city.

This place wasn't exactly what I was expecting. The wine was okay, but wasn't the atmosphere I was looking for - it was definitely more farm than vineyard. However, the employees were very friendly and helpful and there was some enjoyable live music.

The other reviews accurately describe the setting...fun, live music and a folksy atmosphere. Unfortunately that was the only good thing we could say about our first (and last) trip to this winery. We went for the all-you-can-eat pizza and wine tasting special. For $5/person, you get to try ~9 different wines made by this local winery. And yes, the wine is measured out with the aide of a bar-pour, so you were lucky to have three miserly sips before it was gone...a very different experience from the California and Italian winery tours I have been on.The wine had some rather odd combinations...all on the sweet side and one with enough pineapple to gag a fruit fly. I did try them all and found one tolerable enough to order to have with my pizza. For an additional $10/person you get all the pizza you can eat...er...stand in line for. It seemed like they were cooking one pizza at a time and the line was always 10 people deep. Kind of defeats the purpose of getting in line if the food is going to be gone by the time you get to the front.OK - back to the wine while we wait for more pizza. Turn around and the same ten people are back in line for more pizza. After the third time, we decided to cut our losses and the six of us went to Lola's Lakehouse in Waconia. Now THAT was a great meal and great wine.
