Wok in the park is up there in my top 5 favorite places to visit! It's a family owned restaraunt that has been an institution in the St. Louis Park food scene for decades! The staff geeks every guest with a smile and a great recommendation if asked! I have thoroughly enjoyed every meal I've had a Wok in the Park! Their ingredients are fresh, with amazing flavor. The specialty Puffs are always a great choice for a starter and give a unique and adventurous twist to your the experience! Make sure to call ahead for a reservation before arriving, the restaurant is small (which I think adds to the ambiance) so it can be challenging to get in last minute! It's worth the wait though, I promise! They have great lunch specials as well! There is street parking as well as a surface lot near the building.

I have been eating here since this restaurant went by Tanh Do, and subsequently split into competing entities. This was in 2010. Wok in the Park successfully carried the culinary techniques from the previous kitchen forward for years, but I am sad to say that in 2024 the restaurant has recessed in a handful of ways. Any protein that isn't a mock product is routinely overcooked and smothered in "sauce" that more closely resembles a soup. The contrast between the chewy meats and watery sauces makes for the anti-experience. Sauce (and therefor flavor) doesn't cling to the solid ingredients so you're left attempting to savor the clearly fresh veggies and developed flavors of the watery mixture independent of one another rather than in harmony. This isn't an isolated experience. I have encountered this exact problem with multiple dishes across tens of orders. They still do a fantastic job with the appetizers, soups and salads, and the pad thai more than satisfies. Ironically it's the saucier dishes that go into the actual wok -- where the stakes for applying proper technique are a bit higher -- which have gradually declined in quality over the past 4-5 years. Fortunately these problems are only a few micro-adjustments at the stove from being solved. At any rate, the staff are very friendly, the restaurant is well maintained, the ambiance is consistently dialed, and many of the staples remain in tact (especially those egg rolls). If Wok in the Park could improve the cook on their proteins and reduce sauces properly, they'd very easily deserve a rating that eclipses a 4 as currently advertised here on Yelp.

My mom too us here in memory of dinners she had with my late father. The staff were friendly, the food was flavorful and fresh, and it was pleasant overall. The only downside was when a fly landed in my tea and the employee said we would be brought a cup to go, but it didn't happen. The coconut curry soup was great. My brother raved about it before we came here and I would agree that it was tasty. The egg rolls and cream cheese wontons were awesome. I miss these types of egg rolls. The entrees we got were a green curry, chicken pad Thai, and another dish I can't recall. Everything was wonderful. The only surprise was the sauce and noodles used in the pad Thai, they are different than what we are used fromThe Asian district in Arizona. It was still tasty but didn't seem uniform with other Vietnamese versions. I would still greatly recommend them.

Amazing food. Had the lunch special for $14.99 and portions were quite generous. Chose the Slayer, Egg Drop soup and Egg Roll. Egg Drop soup is a little non-traditional with a dumpling in it but it was delicious. Place was busy but service was good.

I had heard some great things about Wok in the Park so I had to check it out with a friend! I wasn't sure what to expect when I was driving there and was a little surprised when I pulled up to a small restaurant in a strip mall, but the inside was super cute and the food was great! I was seated right away and our server was very kind. He checked in on us frequently and gave us great recommendations. The food was a bit spicy for me, so definitely take note on the peppers next to the menu items! Overall would recommend:)

Great menu! We arrive early to get a table. I get Pho which has a great beef broth and the sesame chicken is perfect. We love the perfectly cooked broccoli in that dish. Service is always 5 star - the entire server team helps each other out. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Very busy dinner place, but still found decent parking. The food is so delicious! The egg rolls are the bomb! Very crispy and delicious. The portions of the food are large. My boyfriend and I shared and still had leftovers. Our server has been with the business since it opened. She was very hospitable and knowledgeable about the menu. She was quick to state her favorite items on the menu.

I was so surprised to see how busy this place gets for lunch; really made me want to try it because it must be good!I did takeout of the lunch special and sadly it was just ok. The cream cheese wontons were my favorite part, they were large and filled with a lot of cream cheese. The salad comes with a $1 up charge as opposed to the soup; the salad was fresh but the dressing was way too sweet and not as good as the ginger dressing at other restaurants, I am guessing it comes from a bottle and isn't fresh made. Now this next part is partial my fault, I assumed the stir fry would come with noodles but instead it came with white rice, the menu did not specify. The rice was bland and the chicken was cut too big and wasn't appetizing (in my opinion).Overall I would try again and just make sure I am clear in what I am ordering.

My favorite place to order takeout from. It is always fresh and the portions are good. I will always order the Chicken Pad Thai and Chicken fried rice, both basic but so good and you can't go wrong with them at Wok in the Park. It is a very popular place so be ready for a wait if you order on a weekend day, not sure if that is the same if you dine in. I will be trying new things the next time I order, but I have no doubt everything is great.

This is my favorite Asian fusion restaurant in the Twin Cities! Our party of 6 had a reservation on a Thursday and we were seated immediately. We started with some appetizers- lettuce wraps, Wokin' wings, and calamari- all delicious and flavorful. The standout was the wings for us. They were crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside, with accompanying rooster sauce. Our entrees were all delicious, and the portions were huge! Hubby loved the sesame chicken and I was a big fan of the Sassy Basil. The spice levels were reasonable. It's a casual, no frills restaurant but with great flavors and staff. We can't wait to return!
