Winjum's Restaurant & Resort

This restaurant is part of a resort on Roberds Lake, a little northwest of Faribault. Obviously, it faces the lake and the view is great. There were tables on the deck, so I assume outdoor dining is an option. It's nice but small. I'm sure it's quite busy for lunch and dinner during the summer season. I was there for lunch on a weekday in mid-April. The menu Is modest but seemed to have a little of everything: a few burgers, several sandwiches, pasta, steak, etc. I had the prime rib French dip with cheese curds and a cup of creamy chicken soup. The soup was fine but nothing special. The cheese curds were a little too salty but very good. Very similar to what you get from vendor stands at a county fair. My sandwich was a typical French dip, good but not memorable. The au jus was lacking flavor.It's a nice little place if you feel like getting out off the beaten path and enjoying a lake view with your meal. The prices seemed slightly high since the burgers and sandwiches only come with chips. I believe it cost $2 to upgrade to fries, tots, cheese curds, or cup of soup. The service was excellent. She was very friendly. I felt like a was treated as a friend rather than a customer. No doubt I'm sure because of the repeat business they must get from the people staying at the resort.

Good prices and good home-cooking. Service a little lax as our waitress was also working the bar/liquor store attached.

Food was great and staff was very attentive! Looking forward to coming back in the summer, great views of the lake.

Stopped in here for some lunch before hitting the lake for the day. I have been here in the past, but I can tell you that this little restaurant on Roberts Lake has really stepped up its game. I ordered a patty melt that came out perfect and my son had a dozen wings that again were cooked perfectly. The place has a bar area and a restaurant area. This is nice if you are dining with your family or if you are just stopping in for a couple of cocktails with friends. It is easy to get to and well worth the drive. I recommend stopping into this place anytime!

Shady Acres is one of our favorite places for a quick lunch or dinner. We always see old friends at Shady Acres which is an added bonus. The food is consistently good, never had a bad meal there. The burgers are some of the best in the area.

This is a nice bar and grille on Roberds Lake. Good place for casual dining and a cocktail. I only had the appetizers, so I can't speak for the entrées. Cheese curds, totchos, and nachos. Standard fare. Great service.

Great food, excellent service. I complimented the manager and was informed that everything was homemade including the potato chips. Our group had the butternut squash ravioli, chicken strips and I had the farmers burger...everyone raved about there order.

The head chef does not wear gloves, and constantly eats with his dirty hands while plating your food.

This review is for their phone skills. They don't exist! Good luck trying to reach anyone. You can't. I will have to say the food is ok at the restaurant and their seasonal campsite area is nice but forget trying to reach someone to inquire about anything.

The food was good with many options. They get busy and do a good job of keeping up. Nice pleasant atmosphere.
