Willy T’s

Average at best. Willy melt was ok. Bread could have been more toasted and the fries more crispy. But the pickle was delicious. Cheese curds were ok but DQ's and the small town burger hut in Mahnomen blows these cheese curds out of the water. Service was friendly enough but on the slow side (we were the only people inside other than a few other tables which already had their food) Was right off the freeway so convenient.

The food here is excellent and sourced from local farms. We came for an early dinner and found a few folks already here enjoying a drink and some conversation. The serving sizes here are very generous so don't let the prices scare you off. If you're a mortal with a typical appetite, you may need to share a dish with your bestie or partner else you'll definitely have leftovers! We had the cup of turkey with wild rice soup. It was flavorful and perfectly balanced with a heaping scoop of ingredients with every spoonful. The Willy Melt was a legend of a sandwich. I was blown away by the layers of action found with this item. Its a good beef patty with a perfect sear some melty cheese, thousand island, sauteed onions, and crumbled bacon all built between delightfully toasted slices of pumpernickel bread. Our waitress was attentive, proactive, and always checking to see if we needed anything - something that seems to disappearing in restaurants these days. We came hungry, left busting at the seams. It was a great experience.

I was staying at the hotel for the night and ate dinner at Willy T's. They had live music and the place was packed so we sat at the bar and ate our dinner. My steak was cooked to the way I ordered it. The pizza was ok didn't have much flavor. Our server was great and kept our drinks full and always had a smile. I will be back again for sure.

The menu was so promising but the food was subpar at best. We stopped and the place was relatively empty, but then again it was a Monday after noon. Place was clean and well decorated. We were greeted immediately and seated. We started with the cheese curds. They were crispy and salty delicious. The house made was ranch was the star of the entire meal. The marinara tasted like regular canned marinara. We tried the cheese curd burger. This is supposed to be fresh ground burger topped with ham Swiss and white cheddar cheese curds with garlic aioli. The burger tasted like your standard frozen burger lacking any seasoning. We also had to ask for the garlic aioli since it wasn't put on. The aioli was okayish. We also tried the prime rib cheese steak. This is prime rib topped with jalapeño cream cheese and havarti roasted red peppers on a hoagie. Again lacked seasoning, hardly any havarti and when discussing it on the way home realized there was no jalapeño cream cheese. The fries were cooked nicely with a great crisp. The Willy T's Tots were not for us. Flavor was drowned out by onions. The service was a tad slow for only a few customers but the server checked in periodically. Really sad I thought we had a new fun restaurant to go to when at the cabin.

Very dissatisfied with my food! I ordered Chicken & Ribs with a baked potato. The ribs were covered with sauce but underneath they were completely dried out and burnt with no meat left to eat. I got one small bite that wasn't crunchy and dry but there was no smoke flavor at all. I ate 1/2 of my baked potato, my roll and 2/3 of my drink. My Partner had Shrimp Stir Fry that was completely tasteless! We had been driving 4 hours and by the Yelp ad it looked the best of our options! Let the waiter know how bad my dinner was and they took $4.50 off the total bill. Will never recommend and won't be back!

10/22/2024 7:53 PMSix of us. Salad delivered to wrong guest. Replacement took 10 minutes. Beef Fajitas delivered to wrong table (had to wait). Pork tenderloin sandwich patty was 1/4" thick.If we weren't family that hadn't seen each other in six years I would have taken the time to send the pork back.Staff was friendly. Admitted to their mistakes. Didn't offer any discounts to make up for them.I doubt I'll go back again.

Great food, service and atmosphere! Generally we don't order ribs or steak but we decided to try it and it did not disappoint.

Very large restaurant and bar for being attached to a hotel. Rustic decor and surprisingly nice. Menu is a bit odd, BBQ, pasta, sandwiches, salads, pizza and a couple of Asian dishes! Food was good, not great, but good. Wait staff was professional and friendly. Stopped back tonight around 7:20 and was told it would be an HOUR wait for food! Looks like they need to hire more kitchen help.

Sat for 20 minutes without getting a drink order. Wasn't busy at all and lots of workers. Never seen anyhting like it.

I love all the Gordon Ramsay's that post here LOL!!The prime rib needed 45 more seconds for a perfect cook, I sent it back and demanded a refund(Karen).. The cheese curds were not cheesy enough. My salad didn't have the proper carrot to cucumber ratio. My fork wasn't the proper size for fine dining. The chicken wings were not pumped up enough with hormones. There was to much MSG's in my unsweetened tea. Lol!!! Pretentious idiots all over Yelp
