My wife and I visited this restaurant a few weeks ago and I got a burger and my wife got boneless wings. The food was phenomenal and I enjoyed the ambience of the establishment, however, our server was a tad rude and made us feel like a burden. She was a larger, blonde woman with a septum piercing and she took our order just fine I guess, but anytime we needed anything outside of our initial drink and food order, she was rather snappy and short with us about it. I didn't think it was too much to ask for a refill on water, but apparently she thought it was rather inconvenient. I understand that servers get busy and have a lot of things going on, but we would have appreciated a little more tact. My hope in writing this is management will know who the server was and just have a little talk with her about being more kind to customers, her attitude kind of dampened what was supposed to be a romantic evening. I would definitely recommend this place to others, I recognize our servers rude behavior isn't a reflection on the restaurant as a whole.

Came for the bingo, but lost! Bummer. The cheese bread was the most memorable of the table. It was cheesy and seasoned well. It's more soft than a crunchy crust. The buffalo dry rub wings don't have enough seasoning on them. We all agreed that are wings were overcooked as well. Not the best, but not the worst out there. My besties mother got the appetizer sampler which came with waffle fries, tots, and onion rings. It was comical. The basket had two tiny onion rings. So beware, you will order tots and waffle fries if you go that route.

Decided to try our luck at New Years day bingo.... $2,000 coverall was the driver on this decision. Bingo start time was 1:00pm. Arrived shortly after 11:30am and there was only 1 table left.... It was meant to be for our party of 6. I know it was a busy day especially during the bingo sessions, but basic friendliness as a server is expected, and we did not receive that from our server (I wish I could remember her name). Unfortunately, she barely stopped at our table to check in on us and see if we needed refills or anything. I got the vibe we were a burden for her. For my meal, I had the HONEY MUSTARD CHICKEN CRUNCH SALAD. It was very good and I'd definitely get that again. However, I wish it came with more chicken. Bingo was well organized and fun. Overall, nice experience and fun start to the new year.

A good friend of mine suggested we meet here for lunch. I had never heard of the Wild Boar and based on initial reviews, honestly I didn't have high expectations. They are kind of off the beaten path in Oakdale. Tucked away just off of 694 and 10th street. It was a nice day so we decided to sit on the patio. They have a nice large patio with plenty of room and it has some nice shaded areas. I decided on the Wild Boar Cheesesteak which was prime rib with swiss cheese and sautéed onions and peppers. That came with Thai cream cheese on a hoagie roll with fries on the side. The fries were Ok, nothing special. The Wild Boar Cheesesteak was pretty darn good. The prime rib was tender, the onions and peppers were cooked perfectly and the thai cream cheese added a nice bite with some creaminess. I've had cheesesteaks from both Pat's and Gino's, no offense to anyone from Philly, this cheesesteak was better. My friend really liked her salad which also looked really good. We'll meet again for lunch and coming back to Wild Boar would be just fine by me.

We walked in at 5:50p on a Friday to a restaurant that was practically empty. That should be your first clue. The server wasn't rude but she certainly didn't go out of her way to be friendly. The food was meh. I ordered steak medallions which was a piece of steak cut into 4 pieces. Not medallions at all, and they had no flavor. I had to drown them in S&P to eat them. My veg and potatoes were luke warm with some bites being cold. When my daughter asked for another lemon slice for her fish, the server brought it out in her bare hands. The rest of the food was adequate. Do yourself a favor and head over to Sgt. Peppers across the parking lot.

Our server was kind and helped us lots. They have a full bar, big menu, and pull tabs we were there for the all you can eat fish fry. It came with French fries, coleslaw, and corn! We also got the giant pretzel, cheese curds, and boar bites.

Great place to watch a Vikings game!! This was my first time here and there were plenty of Vikings fans and the game was on every tv! We got a table close to the bar and had some drinks. They have really good happy hour deals ($6 chicken wings, $3 drinks). We had a blast and will come back for more games or just to have food. The parking lot is big so you won't have any issues.

This place was also close to the motel I was staying at. The other one got 5 stars, this one 3. Food was okay. I got their chili, which was pretty average. Could have used a bit more spice. The service was okay, nothing stood out. And the atmosphere was okay, also pretty normal sports bar. No real obvious theme. One tv was showing golf tips..

We were there to grab a quick bite. The pros: service was quick and staff was friendly. They have large TV's with sports playing and comfortable booths. They have space for larger parties. The cons: the food was flavorless and not well prepared. The beef stroganoff was tasteless and the noodles were rubbery and very chewy. They had Bingo, meat raffle and 50/50 going on when we were eating. They also have pull tabs. I'd recommend sticking with their bar food.

Stopped here exclusively for the stroganoff. The menu calls it "Boar Bite Stroganoff" - I called it inedible. The 'gravy' was sludge and had some strange spice included that over-powered everything. My friend had the clubhouse sandwich. It was kind of warm, and kind of cold. It needed to be one or the other, not both.Don't waste your time or your money. Blech!
