This is a beautiful course, very hilly and tree-lined. The natural grasses add color and beauty to every hole. It's challenging. Lots of bends and some long holes. Water isn't a huge factor on most holes. Staff is very friendly. Our twosome was behind a foursome and they let us play through on an early par three. I'm not sure they allow walking as there are some holes that have quite the hike to get to the next tee. Plus I already mentioned the hills. We were there on a carts-on-cart-path-only day and it was more than enough walking. The course was in excellent shape (minus the sand traps because of the large storm that went through the night before). The traps were a combo water and sand :-). I enjoy playing this course even though it's tough. It's so beautiful.

Great course - serene views, amazing landscape, great staff. The carts are super advanced and show your gps location as well as other service requests. Excellent.

This is my first time playing White Eagle although my husband has been here several times. You would have thought we were playing Augusta the way the staff was so courteous and positive and helpful. We were doing the twilight 5:30 start after work so played the back nine. Gorgeous. Attention to detail. I wish my play were as pretty tonight .. but... highly recommend. You will enjoy the challenge.

I've played White Eagle many times, and every time I play I feel like the course is a little nicer than the time before. In fact, it's nearing a 5-star rating at this point, but just can't get past a few of the gimmicky holes that have 90-degree turns in the middle of the fairway, and then go straight uphill - dumb. I also have been inside the new clubhouse this year, which is a nice upgrade from what was there previously, but still not spectacular, which one would expect from a brand new clubhouse. Finally, while the trend is for golf courses to keep rates rising from year-to-year, I must say that White Eagle is starting to toe the line of being overpriced at $79. It's certainly not Stone Ridge or Troy Burne, but also not a muni course either, so $60 for prime times (think Saturdays, mid-summer, 10AM) feels about right. If rates start to climb much beyond that point, know that some great tracks are in the area, so options exist.

Great golf course. Not your typical city course lined by homes. This is a golf course and it feels like one. Great hills, undulations, greens, everything. Temporary club house is up but that's no big deal. The golf course makes up for it. GPS enables electric cards, etc... Fun place to play but bring your shape-shot ball... ;)

Price is what deters me from making this my home course. It has challenge, scenery, wildlife, everything. This is a must play in the east metro.

My daughter and son in law had their wedding and reception at White Eagle and I can't say enough great things about the entire experience! Anna, the event coordinator, is PHENOMINAL! Anna and Chef Danny worked tirelessly to ensure our daughter and her husband had the wedding of their dreams. Not only that, but Anna made sure the rest of our family had everything we needed as well. The golf course is gorgeous and the outdoor ceremony space overlooks a beautiful waterfall feature! It was a lovely experience from beginning to end and I would definitely recommend to anyone looking to have a special event!

This is a very fine course, very scenic and well laid out and impeccably maintained. Like other courses in this area just east of Stillwater in Wisconsin, it benefits from the rolling beauty of the surrounding countryside, but that rolling beauty can also make for some very challenging golf shots, and you should probably show up to the course with more than one ball in your bag. But all in all, a super nice course and a lot of fun to play.
