In the middle of a tiny village lies this independent grocery store. What a find! You can actually buy hoisin sauce, pickled habaneros, and La Brea sour dough bread. The produce section cannot compare to our California markets, but otherwise I was completely impressed. Good going!

not bad.well, the asparagus was quite awful.Awful enough that we drove many miles out of our way to find that road side sign that said ORGANIC ASPARAGUS.You know the one.On Hwy 70.So we made our pasta with 2 lbs fresh farm asparagus mixed with 1 lb of the grocery version. You can guess what was left on the plate.

Highway robbery in a grocery store.Fresh items can be wrapped to look fresh, but they are not. Meat is not dated, dairy can be near expired. On it goes.Wayne's But, come on, double the price over Walmart on some things like ice cream. That' s simply highway robbery. Just when I was getting used to the prices. Arggggh! Plus the wine and beer/booze price has jumped up as well.I finally gave up. We now have a better option locally. It has fresh produce as good or better selection of products and no rude employees to deal with.

Worst place to shop and work. Management is horrible and tyranical and produce is always out of date. Good luck getting any sort of help from Jess. Always pushing responsibilities onto front end workers and acting like it's fine. Glad they're going under and Fourwinds is doing better.

Wayne's has become the shopping Mecca for anti-maskers. If you're anxious to catch a new highly contagious covid variant, Wayne's Foods in Webster Wisconsin is the place to go. Let me relate an experience which happened February 25th at about 5:30 p.m.To begin with, Wayne's has always been lax with respect to mask wearing compliance. It is a known fact that supermarkets are a common source of transmission for the virus. There is a myth going around that you can't force mask compliance. That is only partially true: a private business has the right to require that it's patrons wear masks while shopping in the store. The signage regarding mask compliance is well inside the store. The sign is innocuous and the intent would appear to be to make anti maskers comfortable. The fact of the matter is, some employees are allowed to violate mask wearing requirements. This type of permissiveness is exactly what leads to the spread of more infectious strains! While shopping at the above-mention date and time, as usual a minor percentage of customers were maskless. When I arrived at checkout, the two younger female employees we're gabbing carrying on a conversation. The younger one was maskless, and the other employee had her mask pulled down over her nose and mouth. She started to check me out and I requested that she put her mask in place and cover her nose and mouth. Her attitude and body language made it clear that she resented the request. That was when I noticed the younger blonde haired girl was not wearing a mask at all. I asked her, " why are you not wearing a mask?" Her response, said in a less than polite way was, "I don't have to!"I'm definitely pissed off. I've spent a ton of money there over period of a decade. I am now doing my major shopping at Four Winds and will only stop at Wayne's for small things. Wearing my mask for sure as I always do.

This is a review for the sandwich barn. Wayne's tends to be a bit pricey. They replaced the Quiznos with a "Sandwich Barn"Overpriced sandwiches I can easily make at home better for cheaper. Last time I went, they burnt my sandwich and still served it to me. I had already left so I didn't want to drive all the way back to complain.

Given the options in the area, this is the best. We stop every time on the way to our folks' cabin in Danbury. As far as price and selection, figure about 70% of what a Cub foods in twin cities would offer. Everything else in the area is pretty much gas station-like selection. You can find deals where they are cheaper but overall you will pay 30% or so more than the big stores. But we expect that for this small somewhat remote cabin town. Your next best alternative is 100 or so miles away so if you didn't bring your food with, plan on stopping at Wayne's if you want more selection. This one has a Quiznos as well. Quiznos are very hard to come across these days. There is a liquor store. Beer is competitive and sometimes cheaper than twin cities. But anything else you better plan on bringing your own or pay 50% more.

Very rude employees. Very limited selection. Local Gas station food and beverage prices are way better. My best advice for you is to get all of your food and alcohol/beverages/necessities from the cities or a larger city on the way up, please don't waste your time here. Very limited hours and customer service is very lacking. I guess those of us from larger and more accommodating cities arent used the attitudes and judgement their employees give.

One of the better grocery stores in the area. The store has come a long way in the last fifteen years on their selection. The growing throngs of people from the Twin Cities has had an impact and they do have more "foodie" type options here at Wayne's. Don't forget to buy New Glarus' Spotted Cow beer here. New Glarus only sells in Wisconsin. So if you are from Minnesota and want to get your fix, buy it here.

I live in the area and Wayne's grocery stores are way over priced and a lot of the times the food is outdated. I will always go to Fourwinds in Siren the food is way better and cheaper the cashiers are much nicer and respectful than Waynes or I will drive over an hour to shop elsewhere.
