These peeps in white aprons are dedicated to quality. Walk into the family-owned store with a clear nasal passageway and you'll be delighted: the smell of seasonings is incredible. If you're grilling out, this place guarantees it'll make the experience well worth it, *especially* if you're entertaining guests. From brats to steaks, they'll help you figure out what you want to bring home. Plus, if marinades and whatnot intimidate you, there's a sweet selection of pre-rubbed chops/breasts/roasts/etc. It costs a bit more than buying the economy bag of brick-hard frozen chicken at Cub, but let's put it this way: if you want to keep small business in business, and you want amazing/real/THICK meat, you gotta put up the cash for it and be happy about it.

Great place to grab a few thing to toss on the grill. Prices are a bit higher but the quality makes the extra price well worth it.I frequent VONS on a regular basis and love the brats ( fresh or frozen varieties are always great).Steak canoe was ok but the chicken breasts and steaks are where it's at!

When you're looking for quality steaks, brats, grillables, or other smokables (food, that is) -- this is the place to come! The folks at Von Hanson's are friendly and very helpful. They know their cuts, and will go out of their way to help you find what you're looking for.I've gotten packs of burners, kabobs, fillets, and other products from the -- all of them are of top-notch quality.Their priced a little higher than others, but the quality is worth it!

I Love this place. They've got the meat for your occasion whether it's a ham for a holiday dinner, some bacon-wrapped jalapeno poppers for a party, or just some beef sticks for a snack. If you're into spicy food, try the Habanero Beef sticks--delicious.

Poor double smoke ham. Bought a whole ham for Easter. I have bought from Von Hanson's before.It was very salty from being saturated with brine, not firm as in the past, fatty and little flavor for double smoke.The counter help was not trained, could not operate the saw to cut in half and it was wrapped like a child would wrap.I think the meat market, is becoming no more than an ordinary store. Still looks like a wonderful meat market, need to back it up with service and meat quality.

What a great company and service to our community. The meat cuts are beautiful and they have a wide variety of choices. They can even special order item and will cut things to your liking. As good as the meat is - customer service is even better! Can't say enough nice things about the Chaska location.

Their Swedish Potato Sausage was so spicy. It burned my mouth and gave me heart burn for 3 days. That was not real Swedish Potato Sausage.

I love walking in this store, I never knew the smell of raw meat could smell so delicious!!! From their steaks hamburgers, their seasoning, their chicken, and kabobs. ALL GREAT! Even the Heggies pizza they keep in the freezer section. Its so nice to buy their frozen hamburgers and actually get to sit down and eat a non crappy amazing burger unlike what you kind find in your grocer isle.
