Von Hanson's Meats

The last two times I was there were not good experiences. The first was getting someone's attention was a challenge. When I finally did they turned me away because the tags for the venison I was dropping off were at home. Instead of holding the meat and me calling in the tag numbers, they just said sorry. I get the rules, but I've been providing tags for you and processing venison through you for 8-10 years. The second time bad experience was tonight. You have 8pm posted as closing time on Yelp. I show up at exactly 7pm and the guys look at me and say sorry we're closed. Now it's 7pm... maybe post change electronically. I have 100 lbs of venison deboned and ready to go. If it were my business, and a regular customer shows up, I might let him in to do business. Especially one that process over a $1000 of meat a year with you.

I drove by this place for the last five months going to work. I have tried Von Hansons meet years ago in Brainerd and I found is good but I did not have a lot of experience with meat. My assistant swears by this place. The other day she brought in old-fashioned hotdogs from this place she cit it and put it in barbecue sauce. It was so good and not greasy and I believe it had a little bit of garlic it did not upset my stomach at all. I was planning on eating two little pieces but I ended up eating the full hotdog piece. Yeah my coworkers told me that everything is good at this place and they mentioned to me their pulled meat as well as their pre-prepared hamburgers with different flavors. I cannot wait for my next experience with this place buying hamburgers.The store is visible from Highway 55 and easily accessible you don't have to drive more than 100 yards and you are in front of the store.

For being understaffed and extremely busy, the staff is doing a great job helping customers while also trying to keep the case stocked for people. There's only so much they can do at once and I appreciate their hard work.

Love Von Hanson's! Great meat at great prices. They are always sending me emails for a variety of things. Got BOGO baby back ribs for the smoker today, but love their steak, chicken & pork. Delicious! Plus the guys are all super friendly & knowledgeable.

We requested ground short ribs. The employee said " it will take a while" we replied that we would gladly wait. Both my husband and myself felt like he was bothered by our request. When we checked our order it felt very light. We were overcharged! What a lazy and distrustful employee. I wish I would have got his name. We shop here all the time.

The best place to get fresh, high quality meat in Plymouth, bar none. The selection of cuts, snack sticks, sauces, and sides is everything you could every need for a backyard grill-out. The interior evokes the spirit of corner-butchers in times passed. Service there is always great even though the place is a little small and can get crowded, but you don't come to a place like this to be in and out. The staff takes their time to ensure you are getting exactly what you are asking for and can answer any questions. If you already know exactly what you want, you can call ahead and they will cut & wrap your order for you ahead of time. If you do have questions, it is better to ask them in-person (odds are its a high-schooler answering the phone and not one of the fully trained butchers).Come here for the highest quality meat-buying experience in Plymouth. This is one of those old-school butcher shops that your grandpa would always tell you about.

Wisconsin kid visiting from California, where we just don't have spots like this... so I'm biased. My eyes bugged out at the meats , the frozen casseroles, the jerky. I told my brother I'd bring over some brats, I yelped this location and was so happy to find it. Homemade buns too? Woah. So good.

Because of Covid, five people are allowed in the store; five people were working behind the counter. I quickly chose my meat pack and went up to the middle of the counter and waited to check out. One worker was behind the counter about 2 feet in front of me, looked at me, and continued to package what he was working on. Others behind the counter saw me also. Another customer came up to the right of the counter and was immediately waited on by another worker behind the counter. I asked her if we had to take a number and she said no. I asked her how to get waited on as the workers behind the counter saw me but would not wait on me. The customer asked them to wait on me, which they then did. I will never go back to this store again for the rude treatment. They were not busy; they were just plain rude. I will take my business elsewhere--I don't deserve to be treated like that.

I purchased a brisket a couple of weekends ago. It was for a special occasion so I planned on spending a lot more for brisket than I usually do. I asked the butcher to trim the piece that I was going to purchase. He stated that they were all trimmed. After walking around the store time waiting for my brisket to be cut, the gentleman offered me a 4 pound cut. It had already been wrapped. When I begin to cook it, I realized that at least half of the 4 pounds was fat. Then when we actually ate the brisket I would there was one about a pound that didn't contain fat. To pay $12.99 a pound I was totally disappointed. We will never shop here again. First time and last time.

Love coming here, prices more than let's say hyvee which is other place I get meat from but quality's is worth it when I wanna splurge. Love my ribeye and brats from here and always got corn on cob in season so that saves me a trip. Staff always helpful and friendly
