Von Hanson's Meats

They advertise that they offer catering services but their worksheet does not have an up to date email address to send it into. I emailed them weeks ago and never heard back. When I called they said they switched their email address but did not update their information sheet. I asked about their bartender services & the person who answered the phone had no idea that it was a service their worksheet said they provided. He was going to ask Andrew who is the one who does the catering but the person said Andrew was very flustered with things at the moment. The person asked when our event would be taking place. I told him & he said they will be busy with catering Brew Fest and 3 other weddings that day. Tells me they are not organized. I emailed the request to cater to the new email address and still have not heard anything.

Fabulous butcher shop. Willing to special order delicacies like Conch for Seviche or Conch salad. After their Oakdale location closed we relocated too. They also make specialty sides; yummy! Not cheap and worth it!

One of our favorite meat place in the City. Nice cuts of meat, they are always willing to check, and thinly slice my meat for me whenever I ask. Their beef jerky is pretty good too. We usually buy our ribeye from there. Definitely a little bit on the pricier side compare to Cubs and target. But definitely worth it.

Because there are no negative numbers!!!At a event.....not even half the people were able to eat, they ran out of meat or tacos! They did not decide to get extra meat until it was all gone and people wouldn't move through the line. An hour later the veggies were gone and they brought back not enough meat for the rest of the people! Never use them!!!

Very disappointed in Von Hanson's meats in Monticello.....I have been a long time customer (12+ years) ....went to pick up steaks 2 weeks ago this past Saturday....I have always had fast service when entering this facility...when I walked in I saw "many" people waiting to be served....there was only one staff at the counter...however within approx. 5 minutes(of waiting) another staff person walked out.... I was disappointed at the time it took to be served...also disappointed they "again" switched up the deli items....my fav has always been their coleslaw and they did not have this as an option, they did have many other options but nothing I was interested in so I though I would try their potato salad....I found it very unacceptable and not anything I would buy again... This evening I walked in to order another an steak and hoping they had coleslaw available, yes they did so I went ahead and ordered my steak and coleslaw. WELL...the coleslaw was very bland tasting, not crisp tasting like fresh coleslaw should (almost chewy).....I ended up throwing it away.... Pay attention Von Hanson's!!! what was once a place I used to visit to purchase my favorite foods - for grilling and/or a nice deli section is NOT a place I would visit from here on out!~!!!!!!

We look forward to being able (we're on fixed income) to go to Von Hanson's for meat. They far surpass the quality we tend to find in stores both in taste and tenderness, etc. It is a little pricier than your average big box store's food section, but it has been well worth it every time. There is no waste and no dissatisfaction on our part. We have had steaks from there that almost melt in your mouth. We love the quality and convenience of their frozen hamburger packages because they are each separated by paper and it is super easy to only take the ones you need for that day. The young men who wait on us are always very, very helpful, pleasant and they always (and I do mean always) no matter how small the order take it to our car for us!

This is a great place to buy Meats buns bread and more.There homemade pretzels are a amazing they have the best seasonings.If your in town check this place out!

Absolute Garbage!!!! We stopped here on the way back from the hospital in St Cloud on a Sunday hoping to satisfy my craving for a good piece of meat after being in the hospital for a broken leg. I'll take the crappy hospital food over this meat market any day of the week!! $39 of steaks and $5 of bread, all nasty!!!

We have always been extremely satisfied with the fine quality of the items we've purchased, and we are very appreciative of the coupon specials they offer. The frosting on the cake is the incredible customer service; every young man who has assisted me has been courteous, kind, and ready to serve, even going so far as to help me carry bags out to my car.

Buyer Beware--Look at your receipts!! I went in and purchased some items. I brought two of the large bags of frozen hamburger to the counter so I could continue looking around to find more things to buy. When I got home, I noticed the little receipt in the bag and saw that the first two items listed I did not purchase (around a total of $20.00). I called the store and they said I could come back and bring the receipt and they would take care of it. When I went back the next day, I told a clerk who walked off to talk to someone else. When he came back, I was asked if I would like to pick out items to equal what I was charged extra for (never mentioned a credit on card). I picked out a couple of things (which I really didn't need) and actually owed them approximately $3.00. I told the cashier that one really needs to watch the receipt and he went on saying something about the customer as I walked out. I was taken aback as there was no apologizes whatsover! Will not go back!!
