Von Hanson's Meats

A chain meat market masquerading as a local butcher. I am convinced that they don't do any real butchering themselves, since I've asked questions and gotten blank stares or "we don't do that here." However, they are reliable for what they have and as another reviewer said, it is hard to find a local meat market any more.However, if you are near this location, you are a ten minute drive from Anoka Meats on Main Street near Hwy 10. They have an amazing selection of bratwurst, among other things, and they are locally-owned and operated. Two other great butchers are Ready Meats, in Northeast Minneapolis, and the Osseo Meat Market in Osseo. Both are around twenty minutes away, and are really great, with real butchers doing real butchering. But, if you're in a hurry and don't care what it costs, you can do worse than Von Hansen's.

If you are in the mood for some great meat, this is your place. The butchers are always helpful in helping me pick which cuts are best for whatever recipe I am cooking up. A bit on the expensive side, but very worth it. They have great package deals too if your planning on a big grilling event.

Von Hanson's may be spendy but aside from going to a small neighborhood butcher, which thsee days is quite hard to find, it doesn't get any better. Their meat sticks are super tasty. The jalapeno is my favorite but then again I almost put siracha in my oatmeal the other day...just out of curiosity. They are also really knowledgeable about cuts and grades. Even though the butchers in Cub and Rainbow are trained they got nothing on the people that work in Von Hansens. Again, they can be spendy but the quality of the product is noticeable from the first bite off the grill...if not the first glance in the case.

Yum I love the meat here! They always send out great coupons when you sign up for their newsletter. We have saved alot of money this way for a family of 5! Everyone is nice and helpful too.

Love Von Hansons sausages, sticks and especially their German bologna! But the Coon Rapids store lacks in customer service!Nobody else in the store But me and the guy behind the counter turned his back to me after I walked in! After waiting for him to ask if he could help me I asked for their German bologna that I had called about 1 month earlier....same cold response....we don't have that! It's not a good seller! But I buy it was my response, he then said if you want to buy a case I can get it for you! Great customer service! On a positive note...Love the Blaine store!So I guess that I will have to drive a bit farther!

I can't say enough good about Von Hansens in Coon Rapids!!! They went the extra mile to help me get the right size ham that I needed for my group. I got nothing but compliments on it!!! I was so happy, it was my first time ordering from them! They were the best. I used to drive to St. Michael to get a ham from Dehmer' s. Never again!!! Thanks for the good service Casey.

Hello to all at the Coon Rapids Mn Von Hanson's meat market! I wish i was able to buy the meats down here in Lake Havasu Az! I miss being able to go pick out my favorite meats from your store! We have a Von Hanson's in Phoenix but that is a four hour drive! Is there any way possible you could open a meat store here in Lake Havasu City Az? The prices of meat your store has are good for what you have! I feel we need your store here in our city since we do not have anything like it here! We are a growing city with a college coming this fall ASU will be starting in the fall! Please if you can open a store here that would be great! Also we here in our city grill year round since the weather is great also we have lots of Spring Breakers and Snow birds! Thank you!
