Von Hanson's Meats

How can a meat market not have any NY Strips. This place mostly sells pre made sausage as beef sticks. It's certainly not a butcher shop. They pretend with the counter and worked in the outfits. Obviously the meat is cut off site and the products are not homemade. They didn't even know the cut of meat the griller steaks were.

Ive never been to this place, so I thought it was time to drop in and take a peek.When I came in I realized that this place was actually bigger then I had thought it was. There was alot going on with it. There was a giant variety of sausages, premium meat cuts, cheeses, enen pretzles to taste. They had everything you would need to cook a delicous dinner.The store was super clean and the employees were friendly enough. I was especially amazed by the giant piles of bones for sale in front of the store. I was alittle sad beacuse I had actually went out to eat before comming in and actually diddnt need anything for dinner. Next time I want a BBQ at home, ill be back!

I have lived for a year without even coming into this place! What a shame. I was picking up my Pahls CSA share and I got four brats included in my box. I tried their Mac and Cheese and Cherry Bomb brats. Holy cow, I think I have found my new brat butcher. They were amazing! The Mac and Cheese was a brat filled with noodles and cheese (duh) and the Cherry Bomb was a cherry flavored brat with cream cheese and jalapenos. So good! I am a sucker for food mash ups so I was in culinary heaven. Everything in the store looks really fresh and if it is anything close to their brats I won't be disappointed. I might have to try their steaks while grilling season is still in full swing. I know for sure that I will be stopping back in again soon to get some more brats.

I'm a regular customer at Von Hanson's in Apple Valley. I was shocked when today i noticed not 1 single employee was wearing a mask. I asked why, the employee went on to say how it was optional and how it was so difficult to talk to customers with a mask. So I guess the Von Hansen's corporate office won't mind being held liable for anyone contracting the Covid19! This is pathetic, I will not be returning since VH just let me know how little they care about keeping customers safe. Also, it's a small shop and they had a group of about 4 young men with in a foot or 2 of each other hanging out with no masks on them either, and not following social distancing. Not ok. These people don't give a damn about anyone but their own selfish ass!

Love this place, especially in the summer when we're in the mood to grill. Service is friendly and the meat selection is fantastic. You can also place orders for special items for the holidays or special occasions (like a rack of lamb, prime rib, etc.).You will pay a bit more than at a Cub or Target, but the quality is worth it.

One of the best Butcher shops around. People, Don't go to a grocery store like CUB or even Lund's thinking they can match the quality. I never really believed in a Butcher store but if you got a little extra money spend it here. Its worth it. If you actually look at what local grocery stores sell steak per pound its the same as here. They staff are extremely kind and know there stuff. I have been to other Von Hanson's but find myself comming back to this location because of the greater selections they offer.

Vic and the guys and girls at Von Hanson's in Apple Valley are great. If they don't have something in the display case just ask- they have or can make just about anything you can think of. Chicken breasts are the biggest I've ever found and would recommend them to anyone.

I have been to other locations and always have good experiences. I went to this one for the first time and the store had an awful rancid smell. I think it's the dog bones when you first walk in. I wasn't able to stay, I had to leave because it smelled so bad.

My wife (from Singapore) went here today as I was running out of daily treats for our pup. We gave up on the bull sticks as they charge $20 a pound. I can feed my dog Choice NY strip at that price. Instead my wife asked me if beef heart would work for our pupper. I said yes. She asked the unmasked teen workers for the dog food ground beef heart and some steaks for us. They laughed at her and her mom. Is this a white supremacy store only? Can only I go in now? I've had multiple deer processed here and have purchased a lot of beef and prepare foods. Never again. Yelp, please mark this as a do not patronize business.I'll get my over priced food elsewhere.

Von Hansons Special Spice Chops. We look forward to getting grill meats and side dishes from Von Hansons but will not go back unless their employees wear masks. Most of their employees are young so they could be asymptomatic. It's too bad Von Hanson's does not consider this to be a requirement for employees even if not required by law. Too risky for customers to shop there.
