Von Hanson's Meat Market

My wife and I had the Von Hanson coupon for a 2 for 1 stuffed chicken breast, which came highly recommended from a buddy. We arrived at a place that looked like a gas station, a well stocked gas station, but the back half of the store was a glorious meat shop. Along the wall was the frozen section, which we had to head to after we didn't see any fresh chicken breasts in the deli counter shelf.. The fresh case had a ton of different cuts of meat, all wonderfully displayed in the 6 or so deli cases full of dead cow and chicken. Awesome!The guy behind the counter was helpful and I brought my find home to defrost. I had to cook the stuffed chicken breast with shredded potato, cheese, and onions for like 50 minutes. There is almost no way you could finish the whole thing. I had to put a half back in the fridge. The cheesy hash browns were oozing out the side of the humongous slab of fowl. It was super juicy and satisfying. Great butcher shop, and they have a few around the cities.

I have been to several Von Hansen's and they all seem to have attentive staff that are willing to help. They have great meat at fair prices. I even grab some snacks for the dog there!! She loves them too!! I buy their beef jerky all the time as a healthy afternoon snack. 10 times better than any store bought stuff.

Spend hundreds.. Hundreds? Yes, hundreds of dollars a month at von hansons around the metro during the summer. Oh good for you. We get the meat packs all year long, and then specialty items weekly, Brats, Wings, Ribs... This location is right down the street so this is where we get the bulk of it. Only downfall is they don't have raw wings. In fact most locations don't. Sad, really. We get ours from the chanhassen location.

Some people like chocolate and sweets. I prefer a good main course, especially if it is a big hunk of meat. What I LOVE about this place is the list of choices of different variety of meats. You can ask for lamb, buffalo, etc. They either have it or can order it. They can also help you brain storm ideas what you trying to do. In short, they are the Triple-Bypass 'candy' store for me.If you love jerky and can't wait for the state fair, this is GREAT place to check out because they have a good selection of beef sticks.Note most meats can be cut to your specification. When I cook Phily-cheese steaks, I usually requested they slice it against the grain and as thin as possible. With the idea that they can thin slice for you can try other 'crazier' meats for phily: i.e. top round (cheaper meat). One more thing, you can ask them to cut meat bones whatever your fido would like as well.Yes, you probably can find cheaper meats in other stores. Here is the thing, they are an actual butcher shop where you can ask real questions:i.e. what is the difference between a flank steak and skirt steak since it is almost in the same location...In short, it is nice to have a real butcher shop in town to ask questions as well as all the varieties of meats to savor for. Personally, I think they are much better quality and service than Lunds/Byerlys. Hence stop reading and go get some.

A lovely place to shop, with lovely items, and lovely employees! I loved sampling the pretzels! My favorite was the BBQ pretzels.

Really large meat selection and a decent array of items that one considers to compliment meat (namely cheese since this is MN). The prices are pretty reasonable and the location really convenient. It is a bit odd that its attached to a gas station and the workers appear young enough to have walked over from their first job at the gas station, but they do know what they are talking about. If you don't see something, ask them about it, because they do have a selection they keep in the back freezer.

For promotional coupons (freeship) Would be nice if it was stated per address. Tried to order for parents whom live in different states as they love Von Hansons. Would not let us and was stated to try again, did 1st order went through fine 2nd would not, stated try again at later date. Tried on next day 3 times would not work. Called one closes to me and gave me a number and aske for manager Heather. She was of no help and stated "This is a 1 time promotion, you know we have to pay for shipping, one per address "Alrighty then. I did not see this information at all. When use in-store coupons I am able to use in multiple visits.

Horrible. Bad traffic and called 8 minutes out to say I was going to be there at closing and asked if I should keep going or go somewhere else. He said, "GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!" Wow. Sad.

I love how close it is to my home but the last time I went here, I noticed that NONE of the employees were wearing their masks! How is this okay??

Drove up from the rear of the store and an employee was outside smoking. I entered the store and the employee came in to help me. I ordered Deli ham, he put on rubber gloves without washing his hands. I ordered hamburger and after that, he took off his rubber gloves and handled my order and processed my credit card. Point being, employees should wash their hands after a smoke break before helping a customer. I didn't like the fact he just had a smoke break before helping me. Employee Server was very polite and a good server.
