What a joke.Backstory: Attended a wedding over the weekend. 1) As the wedding progressed we dimmed the lights for ambience. Immediately the kitchen manager came up and told us we weren't to do that. We had asked previously and had the go ahead. Not a problem. Miscommunication. We said the lights could go back on and this was the response, "You turned them down, you can down them back up". 2) Bar refused to open before the ceremony had begun for fear of, "people clinking their glasses". WTF?!Rude, intolerable behavior on a day that should of been a celebration. Potential brides: Look elsewhere.

Home away from home. Spacious apartment sized suites above a great breakfast and lunch diner. We stayed for four nights. My wife and I enjoyed the comfortable bed, nice bath amenities, TV in both living room and bedroom. We had a full kitchen with oven/range, refrigerator/freezer, microwave, dishwasher, etc. Situated in the heart of Faribault's historic downtown, with it's beautiful old 1880's to early 1900's buildings along Central Avenue, it's within easy walking distance to an eclectic mix of shops and restaurants and several miles away from the Walmart and the ugly strip malls. You definitely want to reserve in advance as there are limited suites, only four or five, and the price is very reasonable, so I imagine they go quickly.

Great experience all around! We both stayed in a suite and hosted a bridal shower in the ballroom. The suite was spacious and well taken care of. Cost was extremely reasonable and having an elevator was great. Only thing that would have been helpful would have been a luggage cart. The ballroom upstairs was delightful and I was able to plan almost everything from 1500 miles away. Janna was helpful and had great ideas. Food at the event was great and Colette offered great help before, during, and after!Janna has a full stockroom of decorations to use and she now has a bunch of Breakfast at Tiffany's stuff. Definitely a great space for an event!

The amenities of this facility are as charming as all of the reviews indicate. The innkeeper is also a a delight and most engaging in her dealings. This is where my experience sadly goes very much astray. 10 months ago, I made a reservation for two nights for the weekend of June 7th and 8th, this is reunion weekend for many academic institutions in the area. I was delighted to have a reservation and was looking forward to my stay. Today I received a phone call from the innkeeper, 60 days prior to my arrival, telling me that she would no longer be renting rooms on a weekend only basis, to quote her, "she had changed her business model and was only going to be doing long-term leases for the academic school year", renting primarily to the families of the very school I was returning to for my 45th reunion. Even though I reminded her that schools were not in session at the time of my planned stay and in particular, the school she had referenced/ my alma mater. She offered no consideration, only offering me the names of an inn and an AIr BnB that may have room. I was and I am still in a lurch and extremely disappointed with her unprofessional treatment of me. What has happen to standing by commitments made? It is a beautiful venue, with exceptional service. But beware when making plans for that most special day of yours.
