Last December we received notices letting us know the mailboxes on our super busy street (County 18 in Andover) were finally being changed to the opposite side of the street. We welcomed this news and all winter we thought, wow, this is the last winter I'll have to fight traffic to get my mail! Well, now they've changed it and we will not be having the mailboxes changed after all. The rep I spoke with did a decent job of explaining how routes changed in order to promote greater efficiency for the carriers, in other words, to squeeze the carriers because of a few of them were getting done with their routes earlier than the others. And now that's squeezing the carriers who are being asked to do too much. This is not coming from the Andover Bluebird station. This is coming from directives at the administrative level, you know, the postmaster general appointed by the former "president." Maybe when President Biden appoints a new PG we'll get someone who won't be so obsessed with squeezing milk from a stone. They never should have sent the notices knowing route changes might be in the works. Never have I been more disappointed in the United States Post Office.

Went to the Andover post office annex at the direction of a post office note indicating that it was holding a piece of certified mail. I arrived around the noon hour and no one was at the window. Two employees were outside smoking. They told me the post office was closed from noon until 1:00. I mentioned it would be nice if that info was on their website and was told it is. It isn't. It's also not on their own phone recording. Since when is a federal office closed during a business day? Not only were the employees rude, they were liars. This post office annex only deserves a zero rating.

I usually us FedEx and decided to help out USPS and boy was that a mistake!!!! A $400 package lost! I was never asked about insurance or I would at least considered it on that value. They won't do anything. I've been told 3 things from 3 different people about the status and the reasons and now am convinced its all been BS. I will NEVER use them again. RUN to the other services.

Was expecting a package on 2-19 and missed it due to it requiring a signature. I scheduled ReDelivery that very day for the 23rd (today) since I would be home all day and be able to sign if necessary. I get a notification that another package had been delivered by USPS, so I check the mailbox and the one I had missed was not in there. I called and spoke to someone named Roger who needed me to repeat my address several times before he could find anything, then said they were closed, but I was 'welcome to come to the back door by the dumpster and pick it up in the next hour.' Cool. So already frustrated, I made the damn trip. The guy who came out - must have been Roger - was very casual, didn't even apologize, and seemed to just be taking his time getting this 'delivery' done while I was clearly very agitated and unhappy. When he asked for ID, he complimented my photo, which was not only unsolicited but unprofessional and inappropriate - again, I was already pissed off and now he's telling me I have a great photo? I was officially creeped out by this point, especially since I doubt it's policy to have a customer come to the loading dock after hours to pick something up. Now I've been on hold with USPS for 28 minutes waiting to make this a formal complaint.TL;DR: no wonder this location has two stars. Also, I'm going to be cliched and say that I wish I could have given it zero stars.UPDATE: finally got off the phone with customer service filing a complaint; however, the 'compliment' I received was almost totally brushed off as 'customer service/being nice' and also, it was my fault for putting 'leave in mailbox' in the redelivery instructions because 'that's what people put when they're not home.' Um, but no one even attempted to get a signature upon redelivery.. I've been home all day. I don't get it. Oh, and I guess they CAN let customers come pick stuff up after hours, although they 'don't recommend it often' - whatever that means. Apparently, I'll be receiving a call from a representative in 2-3 business days to discuss 'the redelivery issue or that [I] felt uncomfortable.'
