The menu, although limited, was a nice adventure.I had the crispy pork belly, and my wife the Hmong sausage. Both were very tasty. The pineapple pound cake was also a winner.Next time, we're trying the dinner for 2 combo (fish, sausage and chicken). I sure it will be outstanding as well.

Closer to a 4.5 in terms of rating, just like the North Loop location, but with different experiences with the food.I remember noting that the crispy pork belly bits were some of the best I have had but I couldn't finish them all because they were too oily. Well this time, they were not too oily, and dipping them in the sauce I could finish them easily. However, they also didn't taste that outstanding. They were still really good, juicy, tender, succulent, etc., but just didn't have the wow factor that I had in the North Loop location. The Hmong sausage came with spicy chili oil which was very spicy for me, but the sausage did have its flavor elevated with the sauce. The chicken was as good as I remembered and I would still recommend eating it with the provided sauce. In April, they had bao poon as well, which was due to a collaboration with Bao Bao Buns, and the buns tasted pretty good. The bao poon had chicken, curry, coconut, bamboo shoots, herbs, and some spices, so it tasted like it didn't actually need additional sauce. But dipping it in the chili oil did offer a different experience which I also highly appreciated. Finally, I don't think I see the coconut tapioca pudding dessert anymore, and I remember not enjoying it last time. Just an observation.I also just checked UHK's website and it looked like they had revamped their North Loop location menu, so returning would actually mean a brand new menu. I look forward to returning sometime!

This place was fantastic! We had been to the one inside of Graze before and gotten some dishes but this is the first time we had gone for brunch!I was a little sad because they were out of one of the entrees and the mimosa but, it was fine because i LOVED the shrimp omelette i got!Amazing flavor and texture. Pretty good portion too!My boyfriend got the hmong sausage breakfast and it was also very delicious!Quick service and very friendly. Not busy at all! Also very clean inside! We definitely plan on coming back to try more of their brunch menu

Decent casual dining spot along the bike trail, Union Hmong Kitchen served some delicious Southeast Asian food that was filling and appetizing. It looks like a spot that had table service but it's not. You walk up to a cashier to order them the food is delivered to the table that you sit at, so it's more casual than a fancy sit down.Service is top notch. Place was within 15 minutes of closing and they still took their time to get the food in excellent order. Price was about $20-25, which is high but if it's to pay workers fairly then I'm fine with that. 4.5/5.I ordered the pork belly with Kua Xuab and it was delicious, crunchy, and had a savory mix of meat and greens. Presentation was great, and Honestly would rate it really well. 4/5I also enjoyed that the hospitality fee was included in the bill, I think this is so that the chefs get better pay and the workers get better pay overall which I am a believer that tips are exploitative. 5/5Overall, 4.5/5, which I think is appropriate for the restaurant. Really enjoyed my time here, and a spot I recommend if you're visiting MPLS.

5 stars for the wonderful service from the staff and Yia Vang!! It's so nice to see a owner actually care about the food he's creating. The ambiance was very chill and calming.Honestly, I don't know much about Hmong food but this place was bomb. I ordered Khao Sen Rice Noodles with Pork Belly. The portion was great. The taste was so unique and yummy. The sticky wings were so worth it. The glaze is insane. The price is a bit steep but I would def buy it again.I actually got to see Vang in action and it was dope! He offered my friends and I dessert on the house. He also walked us through all the ingredients he used and it was so cool! The coconut Pudding is delishhhh....!! On a serious note, It's little moments like these that makes a place memorable. See

What great food for a fast casual Asian restaurant! Service was great. I appreciated that the menu was labeled for food restrictions/allergies, and I had plenty of gluten free options. We ordered the Crispy Pork Belly and Khao Sen Rice Noodles, Grilled Tofu, and it came with a side of purple rice. The Crispy Pork Belly and Khao Sen Rice Noodles were our favorite, and the sauces were amazing! I will definitely come back for another visit!

This is an order at the counter establishment and I'm okay with that! The food is exceptional. I had heard about the Hmong flavors and was not disappointed. The black rice was unique and paired well with our course. Steamed and grilled fish was very good! I really loved the chicken and scallion lemongrass dipping sauce! I will be back next time I'm in MN and will be on the lookout for Hmong options elsewhere!

Brunch here is 10/10! We had such a hard time choosing what to order. We ended up getting the shrimp omelet, steak and eggs, congee, and breakfast banh mi, plus some mimosas. Everything was delicious, but my favorite was the banh mi! It's a breakfast sandwich I'm still thinking about almost one month later. The mimosas were also super refreshing, but on the thicker side, so be prepared to let some of the ice melt, drink it slowly, or ask for a straw lol. Portions are large, great for sharing!

Very clean and open restaurant, friendly staff. We ordered the Mini Feast for 3 people, barely finished it all. Best part was the Hilltribe Crispy Chicken and fried brussels sprouts with the hot pepper sauce. It comes with a dessert, which for us was a Sichuan peppercorn espresso brownie. We each got a lychee colada but it just tasted like canned lychee juice, I'd personally suggest something else. But overall the food was a great modern twist on traditional Hmong cuisine.

The epicenter of Hmong culture in the US is the Twin Cities (sorry Fresno) and there are so few restaurants to enjoy this cooking. (Besides the food courts of the Hmong Villages, that is.). Finally, something comes along to make it accessible to the uninitiated masses. And what a find it is! The whole fish was delish. Absolutely LOVE the coarse ground sausage. Lemongrass and ginger gives it a kick. While not a big fan of pork belly, admittedly it was tasty. The pickled vegetables and mustard grew were healthy and a perfect complement. Minor regrets: Limited menu.Wish plain rice had been an option or default. And perhaps the salt level could be a tad less. This restaurant charges the service fee. But note-this IS the tip so don't tip!Let's celebrate the ascendant "soft power" of Hmong culture by eating the delicious Hmong sausages. Maybe the famous chef will extend the menu and branch out to LA so we can eat it often. DO eat here!
