We love their pizza and burger baskets (with delicious fries and onion rings)! Every time my Mom visits, she says PIZZA please, when I ask what she wants for dinner! The service is fast and the employees are pleasant and efficient. 5 stars.

Bloody Mary's cleanse the pallet to start your day off on the right path. Have great flavor with a choice of absolute vodka. Not too spicy, not too light of flavor or an over power of alcohol taste. The green olives aren't super crunchy but have a strong flavor with a homemade pickle. Comes with your choice of tap snit and the salt around the rim was not too much, but just enough :) comparatively best Bloody Mary around!

This dive is an ok place to go and enjoy some fairly decent food. One of the few places to dine in Howard Lake, it offers some tasty options for apps, pizza, soup, sandwiches, and burgers. The onion rings are fantastic, especially when dipped in the dipping sauce they provide. Pizzas are quite good. For an interesting eating experience, try the Trouble's Troubler - it's got pretty much everything plus sauerkraut - surprisingly good. If you are into salad, Cianna's Salad is a delicious salad that is quite filling. The chicken and wild rice soup is pretty decent as well is the selection of different sandwiches. Now, the burgers. I am a firm believer in that the prime way to eat a burger is medium rare. This has been a struggle for Troubles. Still a tasty burger, but probably a 50/50 chance that it will be medium rare. But don't let that hinder you giving the burgers a try. There is a nice selection of The decor is quaintly country, barn, shed-like decor. It's nice that the bar and dining areas are separate. The service has always been smooth and timely. Parking lot is not huge, but there is street parking around the place.

This place is great,the burgers were awesome and the pickle, pep, sauerkraut pizza was a pleasant surprise. We won big with the pull tabs $500 (split 3 ways). Love Pull Tabs cuz it a great cause! Spread the wealth, ya allDismiss the 1 star people...it's a bar...ya know most of those reviews were cuz they were drinking.Enjoy all!

Just like others here if I could rate a zero then I would. When we moved to this area we tried this place twice. In my opinion that's two times to many. The food wasn't cook well and the service was lacking everything. I will never go back to this place and I recommend that you go somewhere else.

Stopped at Trouble's Bar n Grill in Hard Lake (Howard Lake) to catch a pre-season football game. Not a huge sports bar, but pretty full of locals watching the game, having a beer and a burger, playing pull tabs, generally enjoying themselves. 6 or 7 tables, bar seats a dozen. 6 TVs, good viewing from any seat.Staff was friendly and quick to clean a table, take our drink order, and brought it right out.I had the fish sandwich and onion rings. Two big slabs of batter-fried fish, lettuce, tomatoes, mayo on a bun. Fish was quite good, but the bun was boring and didn't stand up to the fish. Still, a good choice. Onion rings are real onions, not chopped onion paste. Breading is good, would have liked a few more.The cheeseburger was done just right, cheese melted well, beef was tasty. Again, a pretty boring bun detracted a bit, but a good burger all in all.Half dozen beers on tap, good selection of bottles, and a decent selection of liquor. Pricing is good. Fish, burger, rings, 3 drinks and a Coke for around $40. Trouble's Restaurant next door through a short hallway has 7 or 8 tables, 3 booths. Bar and restaurant share the same menu and kitchen, restaurant is quieter than the bar.Not the best sports bar in the world, but if you are in Hard Lake, stop in for a beer and a burger. You won't be disappointed.

It started out fun, then when our food showed up it was way over seasoned and the chicken wings were burnt! When we asked the bartender for a break on the bill, he replied "we gave you 4 more wings!" We didn't want them as they were way too salty also. He theoretically checked with the Manager and was able to offer us half off?!?! It should have immediately been taken off of the bill. What happened to customer service! I do not recommend sitting at the bar if you go there. The pizza was ok.

I called and ordered a Large trouble troubler and I wanted it in square and I called and told them before they delivered it @ the lady said they always comes in squares and we got slices and it was cold and tasted bland and will be awhile before I order from them again

Great fish sandwich, burgers, home made chips, and service. Phone in and pickup is perfect for those traveling through the area.

over all a really good place with really good food but would not have there sweet potato fries they don't taste like sweet potato
