Tropes & Trifles

A wonderful first time at Tropes & Trifles. I love supporting small bookstores and one focused on romance is exactly up my alley!The store was packed only 20 minutes after opening and they had lots of staff available to help with the long check out lines and give recommendations. It was awesome to see the owners spending lots of time with customers giving great recommendations. I loved that they had a recommendation station where visitors can leave recommendations or reviews on the shelves for books - such a fun way to engage the community. They had a large selection of books that were well categorized and organized. I love and aesthetic book shelf. Will certainly be back!!

The store offered a wide selection of romance novels, thoughtfully categorized by type and sub-genre, with tables for everything (historical, L.G.B.T.Q., YA, supernatural, romantasy, sports-themed, vampires, aliens, enemies to lovers, forced proximity, forbidden love, secret identity... I could go on). They also carry both indie published and traditionally published books!Customers are encouraged to leave book recommendations on cards for each other, so you can spread the love for your favorite. Staff are super friendly and even all the customers seemed determined to make this a welcoming and inclusive space. I fell in love with the tote bags, couldn't decide which one to buy, and then bought all three of them. Then, on the way to check out with my pile of books and pile of tote bags, I got caught by the stickers, and had to buy some of those too.Tropes & Trifles is a wonderland and I wish I could live there.You should absolutely support this women-owned, local and independent business.

Adorable local book shop with an emphasis on romance novels of any kind! They have so many options in store; such a large selection of books. They are also fairly priced, so support local business!!

This place is SO CUTE!! Romance readers welcome, this shop brings together all the fun, inside jokes, and tongue/cheek of romance lovers. The selection is lovingly curated with owners who know their books. It is not uncommon for the owners to have a lively discussion with the whole store about tropes, characters, and book recommendations.Stop in and support this small business!

If you like books. You will like this place. The staff is friendly, they are very helpful. I bought a sticker there, which was cool and for non book readers who are only going to support their friend, there's a little sitting area, so you can relax while they shop.

The staff is always friendly when you walk through the door and the book selection is great! Can always count on them to have new arrivals available and a good recommendation when needed.
