I have seen this show 3 times in 3 different decades. Most recently, I was able to catch it at the Park Square Theatre in St. Paul with all three original cast members/writers! I don't remember the last time I laughed so hard. Each of the characters (and the performers playing them) have such HUGE talent. I would recommend this show to all ages. Plus, it's very clean -- the few PG elements will be way over the little ones' heads. This is a show to which to bring both your youngest kids and your grandparents.

Where is the espresso, this was a snooze fest. I'm a big lover of live stage performances. Having been in theatre as a teen I was open to going here. Visiting this show for a work party with about 50+ ppl of all ages. About 10 of us ages 22 to 32 got up and walked out. Horrible cheesy performance. I give them one star for trying and the theatre seemed pretty legit. Sorry for the short review but there isn't much to elaborate on.

What a hideous show; an absolute atrocity. Definitely not for a younger crowd. Perhaps, older audiences appreciate the over the top vaudeville style. Though, with the exception of a few giggles and a couple of decent one-liners, the show just isn't funny. It's stupid, buffoonish, and lacks any worthwhile content. There are a couple of scenes in which one of the main characters yells in tongues to a pretend character up in the projection room. It is implied that this character is African. It's brimming with reminiscence of racist minstrel shows from centuries before. A true failure, this show belongs in the past with other regrets and abominations.

Can't disagree with the first reviewer more.I was dragged there by my wife as I'm not a theater/live comedy person. We sat in the front row, and after hearing that people close to the stage are at risk for being included, I was a bit mortified.I take it all back. The comedy was physical and hilarious. All of the acts blended well and a couple had me in tears. Nobody brought up was embarrassed- you'd really have to be looking to be offended to think like this. Everything was in good, clean fun. You can bring the whole family, kids under 12 might not appreciate it as much, but they'd still giggle- alot! The guys performing also greet and thank folks for coming on the way out.The Music Box Theater is a bit decrepit, but the beautiful lights reflecting off the snow made it gorgeous.

We generally enjoy live entertainment but found this show dull and not funny. Saw several people walk out - we were both left scratching our heads as to how this has run as long as it has.

I love theater and live performances, I even like campy performances. This came under high recommendation from a theater lover, who's seen it multiple times. I trusted her opinion and bought tickets for my family. Oh. Dear. God. It was painfully uncomfortable. Mindless humor, nothing clever. I was mortified for wasting my family's time. Ugh, I still cringe thinking about how awful it was. I have no idea how this show has been running for so long. Based on the reviews, and the experiences of my theater friend and me, it's clear that people either love it or hate it. If you don't love it, you'll want to claw your eyes out and sink to the floor. I would have walked out, except we were right in the middle.

Super hilarious! I go to stand up comedy pretty often and sometimes just end up rolling my eyes at the comedians who feel the need to Dane Cook us all to death. That didn't happen at Triple Espresso one bit - in fact the humor is for smart people or at least semi-competent people who have a funny bone that needs a tickle. Bring your mom even and she'll replace sister Betty with you as the new favorite.

This is my second review for this show! I've seen it several times, and I went again last week. I LOVE Triple Espresso, but I have to say that their new venue is dreadful, and I think it interfered with the performance. The Music Box Theatre was a cozy, intimate setting, and there wasn't a bad seat in the house. This new venue is dreadful. We're closer to the actors, but we're on the same level, so it's harder to see. Also, there were sound issues, which isn't something I've experienced at this show before. (I've seen TE a lot!).Likewise, the Music Box Theatre was always staffed with people who are as fun & funny as the cast. I found New Century Theatre ushers to be on the serious and somewhat crabby side. This is my first time seeing the show without the original Michael Pearce Donley. Normally they include a printed announcement of a replacement, but not on the night I was there. It goes without saying that he is amazing, and his replacement did a nice job, but it was obvious that he wasn't actually playing the piano. Plus, there were some pregnant pauses, and the timing wasn't as impeccable as I've seen. I don't know if it was just an off night, or if it was the cast change, or the new venue, but the energy wasn't as high. (And given the recent reviews, I am guessing others saw this as well.)Finally, I was disappointed with intermission. The 2 people behind that tiny little bar were not equipped to handle our large audience! Plus, I am so disappointed that all you offer now are cocktails and coffee! It has been our ritual from the beginning to get hot cocoa and cookies. I waited in line for 15 minutes, only to discover you had nothing suitable for minors. The show is still great, and still worth seeing! We laughed out loud, as always.I will continue to see Triple Espresso, as I think these guys are AMAZING, (including replacements from the original cast), but I hope someone reads this review and gets them a better performance space!!!
