This store has really improved over time. The staff is extremely friendly and although the prices inside are basically MSRP, the selection here is really great. There are tons of niche modeling supplies and fun little items alongside all the board and cardgames. Don't expect an incredible deal, but do expect great treatment from the staff, a very big selection and one of the cleanest and higher-end feeling gamestores I've ever visited.

One of the best game stores near MPLS. The staff were friendly and helpful and it's a great space to walk around and explore different games. They have ones you'd expect but a wide variety of new and fun finds to enhance your game nights. I loved how the games were organized, based on number of players and time commitment, allowing patrons to explore new games based on their group size or intended duration. There's a solid selection of games to include kids too. If you're looking to find a new favorite or a gift for a friend, support the local game store and get to Tower Games!

Board gaming was foreign to me before I met my boyfriend. I was only familiar with games such as Monopoly, Sorry and Risk. However now I've been slowly introduced to deck builders, work replacement and other types of (Euro) games. They seem to have a nice assortment on display although I don't follow games closely enough to know how they compare pricewise to Amazon or eBay for example. There's also warhammer miniatures for sale. Bathrooms are down in the basement. There's more playing space with long tables down there and a pretty cool knight armour display but it was pretty cold. Turnout for game night looked pretty good. It was evident there were a mix of regulars and casual drop ins. There seems to be a parking lot in back although we parked on the street right in front of the store. Store employee wasn't dressed in a uniform but he immediately helped me when I looked like I was interested in buying a soda and warmly offered to help me with anything else I needed. Ended up playing a work replacement game for about an hour and ran into an old friend from college. Only thing I noted was there were definitely more males. Maybe it's proportional to gamers or dorks in general but I'm used to gender inequality since I work in IT anyway :p

I've been to quite a few local game stores and this one is one of my favorites! There are a good variety of games and that staff members are always helpful! It's also my go to place for card sleeves! It's a great place to go to support local!

I came here expecting to find a pretty engaging store based on the other Yelp reviews but I was thoroughly unimpressed with what I found. In terms of product they had exactly what I even came out for. I was interested in buying into the tabletop miniatures game Malifaux. I went with a couple friends before the rush of people would come in at night. Being quite familiar with game stores we were trying to avoid the MTG rush. The staff member behind the counter did not want to answer questions or engage in conversation. If I hadn't been there specifically to buy something I would never have purchased anything. But I didn't want to have to go somewhere else after seeing that this store did indeed have what I was looking for. When I was at the counter paying for my new models and rulebook it just felt like I was an inconvenience for the staff member who would have preferred to be talking to a couple regulars sitting at a table. We had a better and more engaging conversation with a customer who walked in a half hour after we arrived who was having the same kind of experience as us.Overall Game Selection- Great!!Staff Friendliness and Engagement- Helping Customers is Inconvenient....

Fantastic store with a wide selection of board games and ample table space to sit. They have a great library of games too that you can borrow to play in store!

Updated my original review.. Great little game shop with a solid assortment of games and miniatures. Come earlier in the day to miss the mass of people on game nights or come later and join in the madness. They do an amazing job of making you feel welcome and I've added them to my local rotation of game stores. Big plus is they have an assortment of Reaper figs. The only thing I wished they had was a solid line up of vallejo game/model paints. (currently they only carry P3, Citadel, and Vallejo Air.)

This is a review about my solo experience only. I know this is late but my experience has been niggling at me. About 10 months ago I got inspired to try and get back into D&D. Not having friends who play, well honestly my friends didn't even know I used to play, and wanting to get back into it, I began a search. I showed up at the Wednesday D&D night and sidled up to a table that was setting up. I introduced myself to the DM as wanting to get back into the game. He briefly talked to me about his current campaign and that there were also games downstairs, then left me hanging in the wind. He didn't say "Howdy little lady, come and join us." so I backed away as nonchalantly as I could. We all know how that feels to be the looser standing there by themselves.Did I give up? No! Not me! I want to play D&D!I, like a fool, went downstairs. I stood around obviously looking like I didn't belong and not one single person extended themselves out to me. Adios muchachos.Horrible horrible experience as a solo. Seriously, I'm not sensitive but this sucked! But don't let me dissuade you if you are looking for a game of D&D. Stealth your rogue ass over to Dreamers Vault and ask for Melissa. I don't know if they have any openings but she'll most likely take your name and contact you if/when a new group starts. She's really really nice and the staff/players there are supper friendly. Since August I've been playing with a great group of folks.Good luck to you.

I go here every Saturday for Warhammer and they have a amazing group of people to play with here. They also have a wide selection of games from board games to card and miniatures games they almost have it all if they don't you can pre order it. This place is one if not the best places to play and buy games from.
