Cool ambiance and yummy beer. Spotted this place driving down 47 and immediately wanted to sit on that patio. Initially, I thought the sign was for a Mediterranean place like the many other delicious spots off of University, but I wasn't upset when I looked into it and found it was a brewery!Tried 3 beers between the two of us. My partner loved the Bower amber so much he stuck with it. I tried the Kilted Yoga red ale, and the Five Bobs vanilla porter. All three were very well balanced and true to their style! As the sun sets it's directly on the patio, so bring sunglasses. Service was pleasant! Definitely a few regulars. The space inside is neat, lots of little rooms so if you want your own space you can find one! Board games. Parking lot.

We left behind the black puffer coats and headed into the familiar land of flannels and facial hair. This place has a fun concept, with frisbee throwing & discounts for military/veterans, plus some unique spin on brews. I thoroughly enjoyed my Heironymous Gruit - the lemongrass and rosemary worked well together. As we were leaving, it looked like a bluegrass was about to start. I'd go back for sure.

If you are looking for a Pub and some traditional styled beers, make a trip to @torgbrewery . Not only is the team personable, but they also know how to make some true-to-style beer that displays the complexity that can come from such simple ingredients.Annwn Dewi:A Dark Belgian Dubbel with bready / floral aroma. Caramel, butterscotch, dark fruit, and brandy flavors coalesce for a Belgian beer. Squirrel Nutkin Hazel:A Brown Ale with Hazelnut. I love a good Brown Ale, and couldn't resist one that added more nuttiness. Medium-high hazelnut aromas. Sweet flavors of butterscotch, hazelnut and vanilla take an English Brown Ale and turn it into dessert. Well Chuffed:A Scottish Ale that is extremely malt-forward. Medium-low caramel and toffee aromas with hints of dark fruits. Medium toasted bread, low butterscotch, and medium-low plum flavors. Lighter bodied with lots of flavor. Selkie Shade:A Tropical Stout, which is an uncommon style and you rarely see on tap at breweries. Low cocoa and molasses aroma. Light bodied with medium oak, medium-low vanilla, and low chocolate / roasted coffee flavors. If you are visiting and this is still on tap - get it and you won't regret it..

Yelp doesn't allow me to do 3.5 stars. Not that eventually this place won't deserve 4 stars or 5 eventually, because there is just so much potential. Let's start with the bad because there's far more positive here than bad. The lighting in every room is terrible besides the hall containing the bar. Personally I prefer a more dimly lit space and you're not going to find that here. The other big negative I have is that there wasn't much on tap and what was on tap is not very friendly to people who don't enjoy beer and the difference in each beer. Also the bar is on the second floor, but there is an elevator, so I'm not sure how much of a negative this really is. If it's your first time though you may struggle a bit to find it because the building is so big for a brewery. The positive: I absolutely love how big the building is. There's so many rooms and it seemed like every single one of them had board games in them. There's just endless amounts of potential here. The owners seem to have a great grasp on what they maybe looking for so I'm super excited to see how the place transforms over the next couple years. The dart board area is painstakingly lit with hospital lighting and they have chalk boards but I prefer that over over priced dart boards found in most bars, and they have so many of them. Absolutely love that. The main hall is wonderfully done, minus the giant cardboard knight, even though it's fitting to their brewery, it just kind of pulls away from the atmosphere in the main hall. I'm sure some DND people will get into it, but it just isn't for me. It overlooks the stills, there's plenty of seating and overall the main hall is wonderfully done. I can't say enough how much I love their graphic designer. The trolls and symbols look amazing. Reminds me a lot of Trollhaugen in Wisconsin if you've ever been there. I enjoyed the beer selection. I can't say enough how much I love going to places that force feed you overly hopped beer and give you a variety. In my opinion it speaks to a great beer master. My fiancé wasn't thrilled there wasn't more for her, but, she's not really into beer. For the veterans, they offer a dollar off pints and a free lifetime membership to their hall. It's worth it. I loved this place and can't wait to bring my friends there. The parking is easy. Finding it is easy. There's games everywhere. There's seating everywhere. The beer is good. Very, very satisfied with our experience. The staff was super nice and served us right away. Glad to see they've survived the pandemic, will definitely be back.

The beer is delicious if you enjoy some of the more continental styles. The bartender(/owner?) is incredibly friendly and taught us a new dart board game. Was told they host D&D events which is pretty cool though we didn't have time to hangout for it. Looking forward to coming back again!

The guilty Marder is my fave. This is one of those spots I really like because the space is nice - the patio especially. It's very veteran-friendly, I believe one of the owners is one. You can order some snacks or bring your own food. They usually have some games you can play, private lot parking, and clean bathrooms. It's a good hangout spot with fantastic beer!

Men in Kilts!! Need I type more?Fine, I will type more. They have a lovely selection of brews. Board games and darts, oh my! Plus lots of indoor seating to drink and chat with your friends.I happened to go to this brewery for an awesome craft night with Odd Frog Creations where we painted cute little ceramic gnomes. That were then kiln fired and I got to go back to this unassuming industrial style brewery to pick them back up.I didn't think they offered food but they did have a small menu to order in from. So that's a nice perk! They also had a good selection of non-alcoholic drinks for my friend! If you are in the neighborhood check this little spot out! I would have never known it was there otherwise on the frontage road. It's a hidden gem.

Friendly staff, excellent beer choices and truly quality, tasty beers.....and I'm a beer geek. Worth a stop for sure !Dec 31,2024 update......As an early subscriber to the Torg launch, I have regularly sampled their beers over the last few years. Debbie continues as a first class brewer and Dave and Staff are always cheerful and welcoming. I always find 3-4 beers on the menu that I love, so the quality is reliable and consistent. I strongly recommend Torg!

I went to school in England. After move to America, I really miss the fresh poured beer in the pubs-until we found this place: definitely own some of the best dark beers in the twin cities! Not mentioning how friendly the bartenders are!
