This is a very nice bed and breakfast. I've been to a few and this would have to be my favorite. The driveway is a good first impression. A narrow one-way loop up the hill of the beautiful property, beneath the wooden overhang that extends from the historic Victorian home, and past the patio to a shaded parking area. You'll knock on the door and meet the Innkeeper Debby, she's a highlight - very nice lady and she'll make delicious breakfast tomorrow morning!Rooms are cozy and have different features including a huge whirlpool tub in one room. There are refreshments in the kitchen - soda, tea coffee, water, fresh cookies.Value-wise, $194 a night wasn't too bad considering all that was included (and some rooms are cheaper). It's walking distance from some local bars / Cocktail lounges also - I like Anoka Hardware Store (.4 miles). Also consider Mad Hatter Tearoom (.7 miles).

A one-night escape that was glorious. Downtown Anoka is within walking distance of the Ticknor. The B&B offers four rooms with various amenities, ours included a private tub but not a separate shower which was fine. The bed was very comfortable and the room nice sized for an old Victorian home. Debbie, the innkeeper was gracious and breakfast was wonderful. There is guest fridge filled with soft drinks and home made cookies for a snack on the first floor. Consider a nice bed breakfast as an alternative to an expensive night out in Mpls. The price was the same, but we received so much more.

This was the first time that my husband and I stayed at a B & B. We were a little nervous about trying something new. We are so glad we did! It was beautiful, CLEAN, comfortable, romantic, great location, wonderful breakfast, and amazing hospitality. We will definitely do this again. Thank you Debbie.

From the moment we were met by the proprietor on the front porch swing, it was wonderful. The homestead and grounds are gorgeous. We stayed in the Tiknor Suite with king bed and whirlpool. Great design and decor. Breakfast was delicious!
