Great place to sit outside and have a meal!Love the food, especially the onion rings!2nd time there.Will go whenever up there.

My family and I decided to try The Thirsty Otter again. This time we were greeted at our table very fast from a friendly server. Our beverage order came fast and her recommendations from the menu were great. Our hamburgers came out fast and hot and everyone enjoyed their meal. We sat outside on their deck and it was very clean and inviting. We will return.

The Thirsty Otter is a great dinner destination! We went with friends for dinner on a Thursday All-You-Can-Eat Rib Night, and had a wonderful time. We had great service, and as many ribs as we could eat! The Thirsty Otter has many weeknight specials, and we will be back soon to try all of them out! Drinks on a Wednesday afternoon after a hike. We had reservations at the sister restaurant the Indianhead Supper Club later. Annie took care of us at the bar and was delightful. It's Bingo night and was busy with regulars and summer folks. We had a great time.

So I heard this place was a great place to visit and so we were determined to give it a shot. My girlfriend and I got on the motorcycle and rode up to Balsam Lake which was about an hour and some change away from our home. When we arrived we were greeted by a taller lady whose name I forgot. Anyway, we ordered chips and dip, it was good and then the cook brought out some picked dip for us to try and it was delicious. Tiffany came over to help us, she was very kind, and helpful and seemed to get along well with the locals. The locals seemed okay I didn't have any issues, good food, wonderful service, motorcycle parking, and just a great vibe, thanks Tiffany!!

The burgers here are great! Big, juicy and super tasty. Don't forget to ask for the side of coleslaw (creamy) as it is optional.

Been there a few times especially on Thursdays all you can eat ribs for $17 bucks, great atmosphere over looking the lake. Few beers on tap but don't like beer in plastic cups from the tap. Services great and prices are fair.

I'm a long time customer of the Otter, but I've never had the Prime Rib. It was fantastic. Great cut of meat serve with delicious broccoli!The staff is always on top of things and the Bloody's are good anytime of the day.

They have a hamburger with I think cream cheese and jalapenos that is really decadent and delicious. Its a fun place to eat with a great lake front spot.

We went for their shrimp night. I received an ad on Facebook and thought it would be a nice meal. The service was very slow. when we received our bill it had higher prices then advertised. we were told there were new owners and not even the menus were priced right. My point was I received the Facebook ad just 7 hours before we got the bill. They tried correcting it three times. The last time had a list of penny discounts. Final bill still was over priced. The staff didn't know how to work the cash register and definitely didn't know simple math. We had just said a few weeks ago it was our favorite place. Well, not any more after the new owners are pulling tricks with pricing! It's too bad it may get run into the ground with false advertising. Nice place but poor management.
