Don't let the exterior scare you. It is what it is a standard 1960s type of the old motels that used to cover the country. The only thing missing is the coin operated vibrating beds that my grandparents used to put quarter after quarter in when we would go on road trips when I was 4. The owner and the rest of the staff are friendly locals and offer service often. It's clean the water is HOT just takes a while to get there. It does attract the odd passerby who can be on the shady side. I have had a couple of people who seem to think it is a meth den when they find out that I've been here long term which I have shot down. I don't know the past of the place but it doesn't deserve the reputation that some people place on it. It's pet friendly. If you for whatever reason need a place to stay for a few days avoid the pricier places just relax.

A horrible little dilapidated, grungy motel. Our pillows were worn out five years ago. The well-worn bedding and curtains were shabby and out-dated. The place is smelly and drafty and you can hear your neighbor brush or flush. The formica furniture is chipped and rickety. The needle-spray of the shower is chin-high and can't be adjusted because of mineral deposits. The toilet seat is broken and the roar of the bathroom fan could cause its filthy dust to drop at any second. This is a cheap hotel that isn't worth a nickel. Stay somewhere else!
