The Tavern Grill

We came in as a walk-in basketball team of 25 people and they handled our large group like pros. Food and drinks ranged from just okay to tasty, but slightly overpriced compared to competitors in my humble opinion. Salads and fruits were fresh. I would ask my teen kids to order a meal instead of the brunch buffet next time because they were charged as adults and would have gotten much more food for a lower price than their buffet. Ambiance is casual and mostly modern. Come as you are.

My husband and I ordered the pulled pork sandwich. His was very meaty. Mine had hardly any meat on it. I felt like I ordered a coke slaw sandwich.Service at the bar was slow. I had to ask for water 3 times.Kinda noisy.

I would love to really like this place, but because of last night I cannot do it. You need to figure things out and get it right.We went to the restaurant about 8 p.m., and it was really not that busy. We were seated promptly and kept on being told our server would be "right there." After waiting almost 20 minutes, we ordered our food and waited a solid 45 minutes for the food to come out. My entree was out first, and I was told my wife's was "right behind." After patiently waiting another 5 minutes or so, my wife's entree came out--and it was not right. It is really rude to eat in front of someone, but by this point, my wife told me to go ahead and eat. The sandwich was okay - likely because it had been sitting in the kitchen for a while, and by then, I was really hungry.I really like the menu, but this location is hit/miss. It appeared that the "hockey families" were the priority, and we were just there to pay for an expensive meal and enjoy everyone else's great service and an even better time. I would love to come back to this location, but I am done getting terrible service for the last time.Giving you a 1-star rating for your service is generous!

Went to The Tavern Grill during a standard dinner time. There was a 10 minute wait for a table, so we opted for the bar. Our server/bartender was a multitasking queen. We ordered the Buffalo salad and the Thai salad (not the actual names, but the general idea of them). They were both very large and had more protein on them than originally expected. We couldn't finish them. Not wanting to make lunch tomorrow we each ordered a pizza to go (one Buffalo and one BBQ). The taste test of the Buffalo pizza was the right amount of Buffalo flavor. They even provide sauce on the side in case you want to add more. We sat at the bar for over two hours just chatting and never felt pressured to leave. Between that am being able to split the bill and pay via phone (not the toast app) were top tier. A go to staple in the Blaine area, I'll certainly be back.

Stopped in for a quick happy hour drink and an appetizer on a Friday after work. The bartender, Sam, was awesome. Super kind and friendly and attentive. As soon as I sat down I was greeted and asked if I'd like a menu. She came back shortly to take my drink order and asked if I was ready for food.I ordered a whiskey drink from their specialty cocktail menu. It was just ok. Nothing more or less than what I was expecting. For an app I settled on the Tavern Style Sliders. You get 4 for $9.99 which I felt was a pretty solid deal. They were terrible. Like, don't order these. The patties were unseasoned and dry. Stale buns. Very underwhelming. Two pizzas came out while I was there and they both looked excellent. Leaving me to believe pizzas are the way to go. Because the bartender was so awesome I will definitely be back to try one.

Food 4/5 - I haven't been to Tavern for months and decided to have lunch here on a week day. The burger was good, salad had fresh ingredients, the chips were so flavorful and made in house. Overall pleasant lunch experience. Service / Ambiance 5/5 - A spacious and well lite restaurant. The service was great and we got our food within 15-20 minutes.

Watch your receipt. I ate dinner there on 7/25, at 8:25 PM. My food and beverage bill was 31.03. I gave my server Kanesha my credit card to ring this up. When she brought back the receipt for me to sign it was entered wrong as $44.60 (which also was the amount I tipped off of). It was my fault for not checking this receipt, and I first caught this while doing my expense report. I hope this is an isolated incident but getting a 50% extra unexplained charge is NOT good customer service or attention to detail. Since my company won't reimburse this will come out of my pocket. Also, the French Dip sandwich was not very good.... The beef was not tender and cut way too thick.

I have come to The Tavern a couple times over the last 5 to 6 years, and it has always been fine. Have never really had an complaints. This last time I was here was a little different. Was very disappointed.We were able to get a table pretty fast around 8pm, although it felt sticky. There was also a couple flies around that should have been a sign...the server we had was nice, no complaints about him.We got out order in for some cheese curds and our entrees. It took an hour for our food to come out....and the cheese curds came after our entrees. They said they are short staffed in the kitchen but this was pretty bad.The food was meh. Chicken was dry, fish and chips were soggy, but my mom said her burger was good! Overall though, was kinda disappointed, I am not sure I will be coming back anytime soon.

Excellent service today from our server, Stacy. I was happy that I tried the Tavern Fish Sandwich: it was a nice piece of fish & perfectly prepared with a good bun! The Thai Salad delighted my friend that ordered it-the photo doesn't do it justice-it was so plentiful that she could only eat half on it! Excellent ambiance for lunch indoors! Next time we will be better prepared and try lunch out on the patio and try some of their interesting tap beers!

Don't bother getting an entree here! We ordered the roast beef sandwich and potatoes. A normal person would believe it would be covered with gravy. It was dry so we asked for a side of gravy. They gave us French onion soup. The same soup was used in the beef stroganoff. The cheese curds were cold. I don't know what has happened in the kitchen but they need to fix it!
