Mango Chile Mojito. An excellent way to start the meal. Nice spicy flavor, not overwhelming to me, but might be too spicy for some.

We went in for a drink after going to the theater at around 9:45 pmz Their kitchen was closed but the bar was open. We had the loon juice and the raspberry mojito. The mojito was DELICIOUS and had fresh fruit in there. The bartender was friendly. They climb the ship's ladder to get bottles which is cool! The host had a great playlist going while we were there and we really enjoyed it.

I came to meet some friends on a Saturday night. The people that greeted me seemed very friendly, however I was misinformed and told my friend never made a dinner reservation. So I waited 10 minutes for my party to arrive just to find out that they had already been seated and ordered their drinks and that they did indeed have a table under their name. Despite that, service was good. The cocktails are mostly all on the sweet side, but they have a good selection of beer in case that's not your thing. I ordered the Cajun salmon pasta and it was so incredibly salty I only ate a third of it! I do love salt but it was too much for me. The menu is pretty vast, so there is probably an option for everyone. It is also a very large space and could be a good place for larger groups.

I stopped in during the Winter fest taking place downtown. The news theme is cool but a touch gimmicky haha. They have a ton of seating and a TON of TVs for sports, etc! The menu wasn't anything special, and it was pricey as you'd expect at a place downtown. I had the lasagna, which was tasty! They didn't have any domestics on tap which I thought was interesting. Staff was friendly but visibly tired. Overall not my favorite downtown restaurant, but expect to have a good experience if you go.

The News Room in downtown Minneapolis is a massive restaurant with plenty of character. The indoor space is quirky, filled with kitschy decor that gives it a unique vibe. However, if you're looking for something more laid-back, the expansive patio is a perfect spot to relax and enjoy the atmosphere. While the service was friendly, it was unfortunately very slow, which detracted a bit from the overall experience. As for the food, I had the Caesar salad, which was as standard as it comes. It didn't stand out, but that's expected with such a staple dish.Overall, The News Room offers a memorable atmosphere, especially with its spacious patio, though service speed could use improvement.

Dined outside on a Sunday evening and thoroughly enjoyed it. The raspberry mojito was light and refreshing. The very berry salad with chicken was yummy and good portion size. But the real winner was the chocolate torte. Rich and delicious. Staff was friendly. Note the restrooms have a weird layout, so I may or may not have walked into the men's restroom at first...

The food was delicious, and menu quite extensive and rather bold and adventurous. Lots of creative dishes on there as well; sad I wasn't able to try more. I do wish the portion sizes were a bit bigger. I left and still felt hungry. Our waitress was nice and was attentive once we ordered. She stopped by right when we were sat but didn't see her again for at least 15 minutes. I guess giving us time to look at the menu, but maybe too much time. Super cool atmosphere with the entire place being lined with monumental newspaper clippings and articles along with plenty of TVs to see what's going on.

I wanted to go here because I had had the Brie Curds before and wanted them again. They did not disappoint - crunch, salty and creamy! Don't skip them if you like cheese! The service was great and the atmosphere was nice sitting outside on Nicolette.I also had the TRN classic burger and it was so delicious! Next time I would customize it with a few other toppings of my own liking because it's a basic set up, but nonetheless really good!

Went to dinner during holidazzle. Wasn't hard to get a reservation for 3. Our server was very attentive at first coming around to ask if we were ready to order, once we got the food he was never to been seen again. I had to track him down via the runner to get my check. Food was alright, this place is like an elevated Applebees/Outback steak house. The cocktail was good. The place is decorated nicely during the holiday and has an adult/family vibe to it, I'm glad I checked it out but I wouldn't have dinner there again.

What a find!!! Great ambiance and we enjoyed sitting at the bar. The bartender was knowledgeable and gave great advice. We both loved our martinis and the Brie cheese curds with blueberry ketchup were amazing! Keep in mind you must like Brie and need a decent amount of blueberry on it to perfectly balance the flavor. Not the cheapest place we went, but would definitely go back,
