it had been quite awhile since i had come here and was pleased with the improvements in the entire experience. patrick was such a help, he went above and beyond to ensure that my service was complete. the place was so much cleaner, and less stressful in general. i was so pleased i had to make sure to review this since i know that this place has gotten a bad rap in the past. thanks so much for your kindness and care! much valued and appreciated.

Just came here to dry a few loads, as my apartment building's dryers are out of commission. First impression: wait, laundromats can be this nice?!It's super clean, spacious, has ample (of what appear to be) top-of-the-line machines, and is priced well ($2 for my dry and $.25 for each 5-min. top-off.) Bonuses: TVs, vending machines, and gorgeous natural light let in by all the windows overlooking University Ave. I was annoyed about having to come here but, seriously, this place has put me in a better mood. I'll totally come back if the need arises. (Also, tip worth checking out: I saw something on their website about $1 off for washing on Wednesdays. The more you know!)

This is by far the cleanest, nicest laundromat I have ever visited. Like the other reviewer to this point, I generally only frequent laundromats when I need to wash one of my oversized blankets that won't fit in my machine at home. And it's generally a task I completely dread. So I was pleasantly surprised when I walked in the door at the Laundry Place.First of all. There is a front desk. I was promptly greeted and asked about my needs. The gentleman escorted me to a machine, explained to me the intricacies of how to operate it, pointed out the change machine, detergent machine and payment options (you can pay by debit/credit card on all machines). Second, it is just so clean. I know it's new, but it really seems that there is some pride in experience here. In the time I was sitting there, I saw one gentleman sweeping the floor and another wiping down tables. Oh, yeah, and there are actual tables where you can sit and work, wait, etc. Everything in the place is brand new. I also appreciated hat everything was really well labeled, avoiding stupid mistakes like where you put your coins in the slot for the wrong machine.I agree, the prices are a bit on the steep side. Between the oversized washer and the oversized dryer, it cost me about $10 to do my one big blanket. But I will say that I felt it was worth it, just to have a comfortable and fairly pleasant experience at a laundromat for once.Oh, and there's free parking in the lot behind the building.

Pretty good place. People keep to themselves 98% of the time. Sometimes you'll get a show from the area, sometimes you'll get someone who offers you drugs and children's clothes. Also pretty affordable. Either way, I keep coming back.

Going to the laundromat is always a chore. The smell of it and the fact that I don't have to throw my oversized blankets or floor rugs into my own washer or dryer is about the only reason I traverse to such a place.HOWEVER! This new one that's conveniently only 2 blocks from my house is pretty bad ass, if I do say so myself! It's kept very clean (although it just opened a month ago), it's equipment is all brand new and the staff is awesome! I was greeted by both employees Patrick who was leaving and Vera who was coming in, (apparently I came during a shift change) and was offered to be entered in their weekly $150 laundry card drawing along with being given a chip for some free ice cream at Culvers across the street! Their grand opening also offers free dryers and Tide soap (weird, but awesome) this Sunday!Their prices are a TAD steep, but they're on top of things! They put a cart in front of your washer as they go around (which are also all new and shiny) to make sure that loading is easy and pick up anyone's mess that dirty people leave. They also monitor your belongings as you bumble around to keep an eye out for thieves and OFFER (you don't have to ask) to help with the automated selections for your washing and drying needs! They've got bags, soap, softener, snacks, and pop available, too! It's so nice to see such helpful people floating around and such a clean facility! Far cry from what I'm used to long ago!

The top of the washers for liquid fabric softener and for liquid detergent were either all clogged up with remnants from past washes or still had a good deal of residue; I checked all of the machines. This was definitely the deciding factor in going somewhere else. Don't your machines clean themselves?

Best laundry mat in the Cities. Extremely clean, never overly busy so you'll get to a washer right away. Felt I didn't overpay for my loads, and everything came out clean and fresh. Some places can be gross, but they were very clean. I liked the variety of seating options, and free WiFi to work or watch Netflix while doing laundry. They do have various tv's around too which is nice. Definitely recommend doing your laundry here!

This is a very nice laundry place ! The lady who work here is very nice and very welcoming. Lots of plenty seats and tables . It's also very clean ! Four stars only because they didn't have any soap or detergent to sell just in case someone forgot or didn't have any. But will definitely come back and recommended !

Clean Laundromat with reasonable prices in today's economy. I did not look to see if there were snack machines, I was there briefly to wash some comforters. The customers are nice and kept to themselves while I was there. My only complaint was the young man on duty this evening. I used two Electrolux machines, W41802 numbers 6&7 for $6.50 separately. Once I put my money in the machine a sign lit up on the machine to tell me to press the button to start the machine. When I did that the machine began to blink and signaled for me to add another quarter. I thought, I know I put the correct change in, maybe someone before me did not and I was being retroactively charged. (Just my way of deducing) At any rate I put the same amount of money into the 2nd machine and the exact same thing happened. I then began to think perhaps the machines are an extra quarter and they have not changed the price listed on the machines yet. Later I saw a young man that was being approached with questions from patrons and realized he worked there. I approached him and asked have the machines gone up 25 cents? He did not quite understand what I meant so I explained what happened as he went over to my machines to check them. His response was, "That should not have happened", and walked away. I was perplexed as to if he went to check on the machines another way or what just happened. I walked around the corner to where he went and he was mopping. I asked, "Are you going to do anything about the machines?" He stated, "Yes, I'll tell my boss." I then asked, Will he contact me"? He stated he did not know. I stated, "Well can I have his number to see how the machine situation is going to be resolved, because I don't know if this is going on with all the machines"? He stated, "No, because he does not want to be bothered with a bunch of people calling with complaints," and before he could finish his rant, I realized what I was dealing with and said, "That's okay", and I walked away. I decided to contact the laundromat and make a complaint about the unprofessional and dismissive service I had just experienced. I grabbed a paper towel wrote down the machine information and the time, which was 6:00pm. As I was writing, the young man seemed to be perturbed because he came over to where I was sitting, moved the carts and starting mopping and splashed water near where I was seated. I had made up me mind to just sit there and wait for my items to finished drying. About 5 minutes into my sitting there, he came over and asked me did I turn my water to hot when I washed. I stated "yes." He said, "That's why you were charged an extra 25 cents. The hot water is charged extra." I then said, "Oh, so there is not problem on my part now that I know why the machines were charging extra." He just walked away with no type of apology for the misunderstanding, or his lack of not wanting to use decent dialogue with me as a customer. He looked to be in his 20's, but I thought regardless of his age, common sense allows you to speak to people with decency and understanding, especially if you are an employee representing a business.
