The Lake Room

First time here. Our waitress was great. We started with meatballs and a charcuterie board. I loved the presentation of the board jam big mozzarella ball with balsamic drizzled on it, arugula, roasted tomatoes, prosciutto, toasted bread. We also shared the chopped salad. I found that very enjoyable with the green goddess dressing. Chicken pot pie was light and airy. Sea bass on a bed of spinach and potato. Wednesday night is half price bottle night

Awesome as usual. The food, the service and the ambiance were everything I remembered and the reason that I returned. The chilean sea bass is the best thing on the menu!

Decided to hit up the Lake Room given it had been years since I'd been back in town and that it replaced my grandfather's dry cleaning business i was willing to give it a try... but all came up short! We ordered a Wedge Salad for before our meal....server didn't come back to our table till our food came out (which from the time we ordered to coming out was over 30 minutes and the place had only two other tables at the time) even after Nate trued flagging him down a couple times.... Food comes out... Nates steak that was to be Medium Rare comes out Well Done... and still no wedge salad... Steak gets sent back.... And after about 3-4 minutes server then decided to bring out the Wedge so Nate had something to eat while i had my meal... 9 minutes later.. steak comes out... VERY Rare... By that point we gave up. Nate ate his potatoes and sent back the steak and we were done. Will i ever be back to Lake Room..No... Even worse is the table to the left behind us had the same steak issues. I'd maybe more understanding if the place was packed and busy especially on a Friday.. there was no real excuse besides i think they have a cook who really just doesnt know how to cook a steak. Bummer.

The Lake Room is the best restaurant on the west side of Lake Minnetonka. The food is reliably enjoyable and the ambience is comfortable. Check the live band schedule at the Narrows bar to make an evening of it. It's worth the trip to Spring Park!

We visited here for a date night, and it was well worth it!FOOD: Super tasty- I got the Chilean Sea Bass and it was sooo good. The bass was perfectly cooked and the mozzarella stuffed risotto cake was creamy and delightful. We also ordered the pan-seared sea scallops which were extremely good but not really filling enough for a full entree. AMBIANCE: Upscale, perfect for date night! Not very modern, but classy. Outdoor patio looked inviting for the warmer months.SERVICE: Friendly and prompt despite it being busy.PARKING: Easy parking lot.

I've been here a couple times for happy hour but I finally came for brunch. We made a reservation for a Sunday morning and were able to sit on the patio, which is beautiful. While I probably should have known, I didn't realize everyone was going to be driving their loud motorcycles in the back parking lot while we were there. Pros and cons, I suppose. Our server was kind and attentive and able to offer suggestions from their brunch menu-this is not a buffet brunch! I ordered some kind of Mexican skillet which was tasty and other members of my group had the breakfast fried rice, waffles, steak and eggs, and prime rib sandwich.

Don't get confused when making reservations. The narrows saloon is adjacent, and not the same restaurant. The lake room provides a very private setting with dishes and an ambiance to match. Excellent spot for a special celebration.

I'm a regular guest and I've never had such bad problems resolving my food issues a few weeks ago and ordered the prime rib skewer and they were very fatty and I could not eat them tonight I ordered the prime rib skewers and they were so overdone it like cubes of charcoal. I ate a couple because it was 6 o'clock at night, and I did not have any lunch and she said, would you like something else? I said, yes, give me the shrimp and they charge me for both. It would not remove the charge .I am so disappointed I will never go there again. They are absolutely the worst at hospitality. any other decent restaurant would remove the charge . The property used to be standing room only and because of their greed you're losing all your customers !Any restaurants in the western suburbs would fix these problems immediately !

We have been here several times and the food is consistently good. The sea bass is one of my favorite dishes. However, the service is sometimes lacking and on this most recent visit, it was very disappointing. While I acknowledge our server was busy, our table was mostly ignored, particularly after we declined to order drinks (we were there with our elderly parents). In addition, we ordered a large Caesar salad to share amongst the four of us and specifically asked to have it brought before the main courses. The salad never arrived. While I understand mistakes happen, the most disappointing part was that neither our server nor anyone else apologized for the miss. At the end of the meal, it took a very long time for our server to bring us the check (our 94 year old parents were ready to leave). While I love the food, I am hesitant to ever go back.
