The King House Restaurant & Bar

AmericanI was staying in Delano and well, there are just not that many places in Delano so a coworker suggested King House for dinner.The place is somewhat hard to explain - sort of a sports bar feel, and sort of a family restaurant, but however you classify it, they have really good food.Menu is good sized and there are plenty of options to satisfy most people in your party. There even appeared to be some Asian style dishes, which could explain the name. Our waitress was just awesome - and she had a dinner special menu as well.After looking at all the options, we ordered some apps (calamari) for the table and I went with a short rib special they had available. A glass of red and I was off to the races. Again, the available wines by the glass and bottle were somewhat unexpected when looking at the decor and well, the Ancient Peaks Cab hit the spot perfectly.The short ribs arrived and I have to admit, I was pleasantly surprised again as the presentation was spot-on and the food was done perfectly - it was excellent and I destroyed it.This place was so good, I ended going back the next night with different co-workers who also suggested it and and the same exact experience. Win-Win for Franco.All I can say is this: if you are anywhere near Delano, make your way over to this place and give it a shot. Parking lot is available.

Absolutely blown away by the quality of food in a small town west of the Twin Cities. Our new favorite place to go! Scallops were some of the best I've ever had, the kids meals are phenomenal for even my picky eaters. Thank you for having steak on the kids menu!

The food was amazing. My wife and I both loved it. Her ramen could've used more broth but otherwise it was amazing. We had calamari with three different types of sauces for a appetizer. Delicious and will do again next time. The service was good and the ambiance was great. We went on on a Sunday night so it was pretty slow. Probably the best place in Delano MN.

We were out in Delano for a group outing and needed somewhere to eat a nice meal before heading off to a nearby winery so we decided on this place.We came in with a huge crowd (11 people) and they were super kind about it and even gave us their private dining room which was amazing.The staff were super friendly and rearranged the tables for us so we could all sit together.Everyone had a hard time figuring out what to order because so many entrees sounded so appealing. I ended up ordering the special Carsié burger and it was incredible. One of the best burgers I've had, it all came together via that magical bacon aioli. The fries were delicious as well.My partner ordered the macaroni and cheese so I had to have some of that as well. Also incredible, super cheesy, and the bacon was a nice touch.My only complaint is there was only 1 main vegetarian entree despite a huge menu and we came with a vegetarian. She was happy with the 1 option, but it would be nice for them to extend their menu and add more options.

The King House food is nothing short of delicious! They present their food so beautiful, it makes you feel like you're eating in a very expensive restaurant. But prices are completely reasonable. I will never forget how sweet our waitress was. We booked the party room for a small dinner wedding, and they were so kind. They definitely went above and beyond taking care of us.

Love this place. Very few places can have such an eclectic variety of dishes and do them all perfectly every time. We've always had excellent service too. Don't skip the fresh ricotta starter!

Knockout crazy good cooking of all kinds, all day long and into the night! And a righteous selection of drinks to accompany!

Service was great! Our waitress was attentive and was working hard! We sat on the patio, it was set up well and there was even a nice breeze! Food was delicious. My wife had a salad with salmon, which was cooked very well. My daughter had a salad with chicken. She ate most of it as the portions were large. My son had the kid's meal chicken strips. It was the size of an adult meal . He ate the whole thing! I had the udon noodles with chicken. I would order it bc again, but will try it with shrimp next time. This place will be added to our "go-to" list!!!

The service was a 4The ambiance was a 1. it is a pole barn with a cement floor. It is loud.The food was a 2The fried walleye dinner was good.The signature lobster sandwich was the most expensive item on the menu and not good. lobster was overcooked and tasteless. The lobster butter was not butter. It was a dark tasteless oil concoction. The French fries looked like they were from the bottom of the basket, banged on the counter to loosen all the burned bits and then dumped on my plate. If we were to eat on their premises we would have a Big Mac and good fries in their parking lot.

Solid 3.5. Good quality and service Will go back again the nightly special was a good choice.
