What a find! This family owned meat market has a fantastic assortment ~ jerkies, meat sticks, brats, burgers, chicken, steaks ~ they've got it all! Awesome, friendly customer service too. Highly recommend!

Jerky are good, little tender but tasty. Little far from the city but the taste and flavor was great. Busy at times since it is a small shop tied to a gas station. The habanero flavor had good heat, the crack pepper was just right, they may have ran out of the prime rib flavor i heard that was a must try. I got the smoked salmon it was the best salmon i had with no fishy smell or taste just good smoked meat. Worth revisiting.

We had them process some pigs for us. They send their person out to dispatch the pigs on the farm and then he hauls them in. I liked that idea because it is better for the animal. No stress from being transported. Their guy chased and chased them around their pen and severely traumatized them. I was devastated. Our animals live a good life and did not deserve that. We had tried their products and they are good. That is also part of the reason we chose them. We had recommended them to others who raise their own animals. Others were also looking for the ease of them coming to the farm and the diminished stress on their own animals. After our experience they are all going elsewhere.

Fresh cut steaks and jerky! This is a great place if your getting ready to grill or just want some jerky for the car ride up north! Friendly staff too! They offer some different cheeses and crackers as well as different types of sauces to grill with. It's attached to the gas station but has a separate entrance. I've been here about 10+ times and it's always good! The guy behind me was getting some tomahawk steaks they looked amazing.

Tucked away adjacent to a convenience store/gas station, this is a fine butcher with outstanding steaks, beef sticks, brats and local cheeses. I always get the porterhouse, the average size is about 1.6lb and makes for a feast. Skip meal prep the first night in your North Shore campsite, stop here and treat yourself. The service is super friendly - be sure to ask for a rewards card, it is a good incentive!

I use to go to the Hungry Farmer for jerky. I noticed the last 3 time I bought it, it was moister than ever. I weighed a pound from there 3 time and after I dehydrated it to what jerky should be (dry and a good chew) I found it weighed 2 ounces less than what I paid for. I think they do not dehydrate to the jerky to real jerky texture so they can make more money per pound. If they charge 20 dollars a pound for wet jerky, you are really paying for 14 ounces of real jerky for the price of a pound. Just saying, buyer beware.

Recently bought 2 ribeyes @ $28/lb for total of $63.00. Threw the steaks on the grill when I got home and they shrunk to half their physical size - apparently pumped up with water to increase their weight. What remained was tasteless. Too bad as prior experiences had been positive.

Every time I come here it's just as great as the last. Best jerky, beef sticks and a great selection of cheese. The hot Italian sausage is amazing. Last night we ate the ribeyes (filets sold out ) but well worth it. Best steak we have ever eaten. Highly recommend.
