Worth every centTwelve bucks and some pocket changeI cried from laughingI think this is only the third comedy club that I have ever been to. Acme in Minneapolis, Comedy Sports in Chicago and here. Wasn't even aware of this place until a couple nights ago when my buddy suggested we check it out.Honestly, I didn't have high hopes for the place. The Lyft driver also thought it would suck as he had never heard of the place. It was great, though. Four openers at five minutes or so each and the headliner, Ryan Schutt, for an hour. Enjoyed both the appetizers and the main dish. They all made my eyes water a couple times. Pretty raunchy from all of the performers. Lots of jokes about genitalia and enough F bombs and other vulgar language to keep me interested. Hard to be funny if you are Bill Cosby or Jeff Foxworthy for me, so it was right up my filthy alley.

The Comedy Corner Underground is a fun place for funny. Came here for a 10,000 Laughs show featuring a lineup of comedians from across the country. I giggled. I laughed. I had a couple drinks. It's a very intimate space. A bit dingy, even. Like something down there was making me sneeze. But hey that's underground comedy for you.I'd say it fits around 30 people comfortably. They have a server going around taking drink orders. Basically everything you'd need or expect for a spot like this.I'd definitely go back.

Honestly I've been here twice. I'd like to say this place has a lot of potential. But other than them getting a better AC. The venue is small AF. If it gets busy at all there are 100% people standing around and standing in front of others because of the size. When I've been here it's hit or miss for comics. Tonight there was some funny people for sure. I was pleasantly surprised with how many people there were tonight. It was SOO sticky and hot. The thing that really sucks about the venue being small is that if there are hecklers (like tonight) it is hard to ignore them and not hear the actual act. It's nice that the servers from the bar above will bring you drinks down. That's legit. Overall I like this place. I don't love it.

I came here with the wife over the weekend for a show. We knew the comedian that was performing having seen him on comedy central and other things so we were looking forward to a show we both knew we would enjoy. When we got there the show had been changed. The headliner had pulled out of the show and been replaced with someone I didnt know and ultimately didnt find funny at all. Now I get that comedy is subjective and there were definitely people in the audience that enjoyed the show, but we didnt get any kind of notice that the show had been changed. There was no offer of a refund or to change a night for a different comedian not even just an email letting us know. If we had I dont think we would have gone after checking out the new headliner. The service was also nonexistent. They told us at the beginning of the show that there would be wait staff coming to get drink orders during the show, but we never saw anyone taking orders just lots of people having to get up to get their own.The first time we went was a much better experience so maybe it all just depends on the night.

I never post bad reviews but this was sooooo bad I thought others shouldn't waste their time and money. The wife and I ended up here last Friday night looking for a laugh. It was called "triple feature" comedy night. It was, without a doubt, the worst set of comedians I have ever painfully sat through. The MC must have walked off the street. He obviously was unprepared and actually stopped two times, said his mind was blank before checking his watch (he obviously had to talk for 10 minutes or so), looking at his index card and saying another unfunny line. The "comedians" that followed were not any better. I love a good laugh but they were really bad. We actually walked out half way through the third person. It seriously was torture. I could have smoked a pound of weed and still would not have had a chuckle.

I love coming here for Friday night open mics! Show starts at 10ish but seats can fill up earlier than that, and there may have been a show before so I'd recommend arriving at 9:30. Grab a drink and head downstairs. Don't feel like you have to stay the whole way through - I've been here past midnight, but most people leave around 11:30.

I would actually give this place NO stars if I could. We went this past Saturday night thought this would be a great place for some fun, laughs, & drinks and an overall good time, but instead we got the opposite. We went as a big group (20+) of friends & family to celebrate my sister's 40th birthday here but the so-called open acts before the main headliner were offensive, rude, made us uncomfortable, & were just plain NOT funny. A good comedian feeds off the crowd & instead all 3 told us to shut up & like it. WE DIDN'T like it so instead we all decided to walk out even before the main guy. SO DISAPPOINTING. Would NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO ANYONE. Instead we took the party across the street to Bullwinkles Saloon & had a great time!

Was bored on a Friday night and wanted to do something fun and most of all FREE.Comedy Corner Underground does a free open mic night on fridays at 10pm. We got there a little early. It is set up underneath the restaurant. We opened the door to go down and walked down... little did we know there was a show beforehand. We went up and had some drinks at the bar while we waited. Eventually we went back down and the setting was super cute. Dark little dungeon like basement with a stage and a mic. I will be honest, some of the people sucked. Really bad. But then some were so good I felt like I would pay to see them again. Honestly, it's free. I think that makes even the bad ones worth it. I would definitely go back again and maybe grab dinner upstairs beforehand, it looked pretty good!**PARKING- you pay to park behind the lot, but they take if off your bill if you eat/drink inside!

When you walk into the Corner Bar, it looks like any other university area sports bar --- lots of huge screen t.v.'s, khaki shorts and backwards white baseball caps. But head towards the doorway at the back of the bar (next to the booths) and walk down the narrow stairway (don't forget to close the door behind you!). As if by magic you are transported to a 1980's New York style comedy club. One the the best comedy clubs in Minneapolis, it's certainly the only one run and built 100% by local comics. It's a seedy, "cozy" dive bar, the kind of stage that Seinfeld performs on in the beginning and end of his t.v. show, perfect for showcasing many of the top, raw local talent, of which Minneapolis has plenty. No matter where you sit, you have a great view of the action (and I've sat in every area of that room), and the small space seems to amplify the excitement and the energy of the room. After all, if the comic is going after a heckler, every person in that room will be able to see his or her face pretty clearly and they can see you as you laugh at them. It makes the experience so intimate and oftentimes better than at larger clubs.Fridays are open mic's and free, and sometimes they are hit or miss, with a lot of rookie comics and grizzled vets, either trying new stuff or polishing their working material. Saturdays are paid shows, usually not more than $5. Not too shabby considering that $5 is paying for a feature act as well as the headliner. They have wait staff to bring your drinks as well as a full bar menu, and free parking in the Corner Bar lot (you must sign your vehicle in at the bar). If you love raw comedy, this is the place to be!

During the show our family was harassed by one of so called comedians with nationalistic comments. It was supposed to be a joke I guess, but it was just rude. I do not recommend this place to anybody who values good humor.
