There are 2 bins that are fun to dig through. One $5 the other $10. Cheaper if you buy more.

Talk about a hole in the wall, a hidden gem, or a diamond in the rough! I love thrifting and checking out all the places to do so when visiting a new town. If I were to come back to the twin cities, I would be sure to stop into the Cat and the Cobra! Locating the store was a little harder than anticipated. It is in the back of the parking lot behind the locked door, but it is the first door inside the building. Not to mention the cool vibes and architecture of the building. I highly recommend walking around and checking it out. There was an amazing selection of any article of clothing you were looking for. I would say the majority of the items were typically priced. Some articles hanging were a little overpriced, but the best part was the bins in the back of the store! I found two shirts in the bins that were $5 each! It was a STEAL of a deal for vintage t-shirts in the condition they were in. I got one ESPN shirt and a Strigus 2006 shirt. Not to mention how fun it is to shift through bins to find those hidden gems of shirts. In addition to a more expensive rainforest cafe t-shirt that was hanging on the walls of shirts. Overall, the service, selection, and value of the store and its articles were top-tier for vintage thrift! I highly recommend stopping in!

I'm torn on how to rate The Cat and the Cobra. I was excited to see a vintage clothing store tucked away in what seems like a warehouse section of the North Loop. Plenty of parking in the shared lot or on the street. You'll need to be buzzed into the store as the door is locked. Once inside the shop is pretty small and jam packed with stuff....almost too much stuff. It was hard to look at items and the vibe felt a little meh. I still wanted to browse and find something to take home, I'm not sure if I missed the memo for sizing on tops but it was hard to know which section I should be looking in. There were some great finds in there, but also pretty expensive. Previous reviews mentioning prices seem to be several years old so keep in mind that you'll be spending a lot depending on what you're looking for. I will say- if vintage is your style and you're open to what you wear this would be a good stop. If you're a little more picky and looking to save some money this may not be the best option.

We stumbled on this place because there was a sign saying "vintage clothes sale". You can't pass up a sign like that right? Never heard of the place before but it does have a really cool name The Cat and the Cobra. It is located inside a locked artist lofts so you have to get buzzed in. The shop itself is small with just two isles, but is super cute! You can tell all the clothes are really nice quality and unique. Seriously, these were some really nice vintage clothes! With the nicer things comes higher prices. For the true vintage stuff, for example, an old Grateful Dead t-shirt ran around $150. Now of course, there were twenty and ten dollar shirts as well but a lot of the stuff was high quality vintage tees and clothing. They also have a nice option for shoes as well. Overall a pretty neat little shop with some rare finds!

A little gem of a place. You might have to dig but that's the beauty. Bought some cool black velvet overalls. Also LOVE how it's color coded and categorized. It took a little bit to find this place within the building but so worth it.

Epic selection, if you have the time there's a huge pile to dig through that's $5-$20. Curated stuff is beautiful and there are many collectible pieces. Will be back.

It is a dump. Walked in, saw the state of the store, and walked out. If you want to run a business, be presentable.

This was the worst experience I've ever had in a store. The employees were rude, refusing to answer questions. The selection was terrible and over priced. I'll never, EVER shop at this dump again. STAY AWAY!
