The Brothers Deli

I would go 4.5 stars if that was possible. A very good rendition of a NY style Jewish Deli, including the attitude. I stupidly asked if I could get a pickle with my sandwich (since I didn't see it listed). The owner was quick to give me a stern look and said, "This is a deli." Ha, ha, duh. Of course it would include a pickle. My Sid Hartman's Favorite Pastrami Sandwich with added Cheddar Cheese (they don't have American Cheese), was really good on a very nice caraway rye bread. I wasn't crazy about the Potato Salad, but it was ok. Oh, and the pickle was good. Would definitely stop in again if downtown for lunch.

Great deli, that help me deliver a special treat for someone who had Covid and couldn't celebrate Passover. I called them and they took care of my oder and set up a deliver for them. I got some Matzo ball soup and cookies. The food got rave reviews and I have rave reviews about the service. Thanks Brothers for helping a friend celebrate Passover even with covid.

I have ordered Brothers' sandwiches and salads for multiple catering orders in several different companies. I have never had any complaints (other than "wow, that's a lot of food" - not sure that's a complaint, though). The sandwiches are fresh and the salads come with a very tasty popover! You really can't go wrong - there's something for everyone at Brothers Deli!

I only give five stars to places I wouldn't mind eating at every day and they did it! I went due to recommendation from a friend for good skyway-located restaurants. I went during the week over the lunch hour and they were hustling and bustling. I probably saw 40 people come in and out of the place with their sandwiches in hand while I ate there for about 30 minutes. There was mostly a long line out the door which moved impressively quickly. With a menu a million miles long, I couldn't decide what to order so I went with 1/2 salad and 1/2 sandwich (which I was impressed you could do with any salad and any sandwich). I got 1/2 of the Thai Crunch salad and 1/2 of the Turkey Melt sandwich on sourdough bread. The salad was huge, I would've expected the full basket of salad to be considered a full size. I was a little put off by the large amount of edamame in the salad but the crunchy pieces were a welcome addition. I never know what to order so I always ask what the best of my options are which also tells me how well the staff knows the menu and how good they are at recommendations. He recommended the Turkey Melt sandwich which I thoroughly enjoyed. I don't typically like deli meat due to thickness of slices but it was so tender and they didn't pack the sandwich too full of meat- it was perfect and I ate every last crumb.I'd love to come back so I could try more of the sandwiches here. I might also throw in some housemade chips and a cookie which looked amazing.

A little piece of a New York City style deli right in the Downtown Minneapolis skyway!!I had the Avocado Tuna Melt sandwich and loved it. I think they need a bigger side buffet tray but that is just my personal opinion. Despite its size they side buffet has quite the selection of coleslaw, olives, pickles, relish, potato salad, onions, etc, you name a side and it is most likely there for the taking.Their cookies are buttery goodness!!! I have to exercise self control when I go here but know that any cookie here is solid, no matter the flavor.If you decide to dine in don't expect a lot of space between you and your neighbor because this is a true deli style establishment: come hungry, leave happy, no frills type of spot. So if you overhear a neighbors convo just enjoy the humor and close quarters because it is rare so don't take yourself too seriously.The line moves fast, the service is decent and the food is sure to keep you satisfied!

We ordered 15 box lunches for a group meeting. Food quality was ok "meh" and the sandwiches were small for $15/box. Online ordering system is totally flawed as I needed to call in my credit card to pay. Phone call order was short, abrupt, and lacked any kind of "thankful for your order" experience. Someone needs a lesson in customer service. $50 charge to deliver 6 blocks on a $200 dollar order. Kinda steep. Go elsewhere for your deli experience

Great place for a sandwich and chips downtown. If you're looking for a place to eat outside of the chain restaurants with some homemade type flavor, this place is a must.

My small catering order for 9 people was a big hit! People liked the deli sandwiches, potato salad and Trudy's cranberry apple salad. Large portions and delivery went smoothly. Food was fresh but arrived earlier than expected. Better than late but I was glad I had refrigerator space to keep until it was time for our party. Will be visiting and ordering for lunch again!

One of the few places which has stood the test of time between many locations. I come for the popovers, big,fluffy, baked to perfection, pair with any soup. I stay for a half reuben. During the worst times for restaurants, the welcoming atmosphere with employees who don't miss a beat to make people feel valued. It's no surprise they've lasted as long as they have. They may not be a New York quintessential Jewish Deli, but they're ours and I couldn't be prouder of their success. Hoping for many more good years for all of us (fingers crossed) ahead. Peeps remembering Ridgedale location during 1970s, this is your spot.

5 STARS!! I'm currently eating the Cousin Steve's Tomato Havarti sandwich (lunchbox) that my law firm had catered today for lunch. *chef's kiss*!!I can't say anything more, I need to eat the other half of my sandwich. You've got a new fan and I can't wait to enjoy the other items you have to offer.
