This place place isn't an antique store anymore...they sell gifts, home decor, crafts, and furniture with a few antiques sprinkled throughout the house. The Big White House isn't my kind of place. (I liked the old "Artique" much better, which was a real antique store.) But I have to give these ladies respect. For what they offer, they do a very good job.The Big White house has things like vintage up-cycled furniture, home-made crafts, reproduction vintage signs, gourmet foods (like coffee and popcorn), hand-made soap, and other reproduction antique style accessories (like repro cast iron soap holders). They also have actual antiques sprinkled here & there, especially on the 2nd floor. But I'd say that the total number of antiques add up to less than 5% of everything in the entire house. My wife and I also felt the 2 women working behind the counter (one was the owner) were very warm, friendly, and helpful. They greeted everyone when they walked in the front door. They offered free coffee to everyone. They asked us more than once if we needed any help finding something. And they also acknowledged us when we left. VERY professional customer service.BTW, the 2-story historic house itself is very cool and worth checking out.-Daddy Maxx Retro

Fantastic prices, unique items and kind staff! We live nearby and I love swinging in. Tons of treasures and they host big craft sales. The house itself is really cool, too. -Melody K.

Consistently one of my favorite Anoka antique shops! Their prices are great and they often have a good variety of furniture too. The previous reviewer expressed frustration in that their is a no return policy. However, this is common in the antique industry as stores represent various dealers who may have already been compensated for the sale of their product. This shouldn't be held against the Big White House. I've shopped here for years and always found a good variety at very fair prices.

If i had one word for this place, its truly Asthetic!Way less intimidating once you get inside. Huge selection of not only antique items but pretty much anything and everything asthetic could be sold here; hobbies, decor, furniture, arts+crafts. Im always left with positive vibes whenever i visit. Worth the drive!

I did business with Deb the owner. I left a dozen very old keys, each one unique, possible old clock keys, with her to research. I didn't hear back from her so I sent emails & made phone calls to her. I finally got an email back from Deb saying she needed to stop buying after meeting with her accountant. I asked when I could pick up my keys & never heard from her again. I stopped in several times & nobody knew anything about my keys. I trusted you Deb & you abused that trust!SELLERS BEWARE!!!

Made a large furniture purchase and was not made aware of the return policy "All Sales Final" Store would not refund and admitted to not telling people of the policy as all they are legally obligated to do is post a 8x10 sign behind the counter. They also do not give you a receipt until after the card is ran that says "All Sales Final" and admit that they do not give it until after the sale is complete. Owners will not communicate and have even gone as far as blocking on Facebook. Not a company I would want to do business with! Buyer beware and 100% sure you are wanting what you buy! I am all for supporting local businesses but when your business practices are ethically wrong I will not support.
