Teresa's Mexican Restaurant

I wanted good Mexican food and this was NOT that. The Taco salad with ground beef had maybe two tablespoons of meat at the very bottom, under the scraps of soggy lettuce. As I dug around I discovered some orangey paste that apparently was refried beans. The whole thing was bland and disappointing. The taco shell bowl was yummy but not so much as to elevate the dish. Queso was a surprisingly large portion of what tasted like melted Velveeta. It was very thick and had no spice at all. The chips were nice and crispy but really could not stand up to the thick queso and shattered when dipped. Overall not a good experience.

Stopped in after a day on the lake. Some friends seemed to have been before and liked Teresa's so I was excited to try. Unfortunately, I think I ordered the wrong thing as I wasn't a fan of the quesadilla sampler. They used shredded chicken instead of grilled and the other meat wasn't very good either. However, the queso was good, your standard restaurant queso. We sat out on the patio which was nice. Service was fine, a little slow but we were also a big group.

I was craving Mexican food and a margarita so we finally made our way to Theresa's! This is located in a strip mall and had quite a bit of parking still for an early Friday night. I believe from 2-6 they had the classic margarita on the rocks for 5 dollars and it is pretty big! Can't beat 5 dollars. I also believe the bottles of select beers are $3!Our waitress was helpful and fast and the service was nice! I wouldn't change anything about it.We ended up getting the complimentary chips and salsa (another basket & salsa is $4.50) and then we also got the cheese dip (medium is 5 dollars and is pretty small, but okay for 2!). The queso is what I was craving and it curbed the craving, it was good, nothing outstanding but definitely would get again, and the chips are fresh and crunchy. We also ended up splitting the tres Maria's enchiladas as it looked like it was going to be a lot of food, and it was! We ordered it with chicken and the chicken & all the sauces were good! Nothing outstanding but like I said it was good, service was fast, and I left satisfied!

What can I say we love Teresa's! Not being originally from Minnesota we were on the look out for a good Mexican restaurant and we found it! We can always expect to have good service, huge food portions, and fast seating. We enjoy sitting on the patio when the weather is good but the inside is very large and can accommodate different size parties. The California Burrito is very good and is typically what I order and will have enough left over to take home for lunch the following day. Also when you sit down they give you chips and salsa which always a plus! I highly recommend this restaurant.

We always have great service here. Everyone is super friendly! The queso dip is tasty as well as the fajitas and chimichangas. The updates made have improved the dining experience.

We've come in about a dozen times & the food is consistent. The rice is hands down the best in the metro, but everything else is pretty average. With the exception of one bartender, the service is awful despite there rarely being more customers than employees in the place. If you don't order everything you want right away (drinks and entrees), you're going to wait at least 45 minutes before they'll come back around or they'll act annoyed you asked even if you're the only ones in the restaurant or bar. Once your food does come, you're likely not going to see the staff again so make sure you have everything you need. The prices are good & there's daily deals, but I'd come in with your expectations set accordingly.

I was looking forward to this visit. My experience wasn't pleasant. My waitress wasn't great. Not sure if she was busy and too many tables to serve but I had to make sure to ask for everything when we saw her because it wasn't a guarantee we'd see her again. We asked another waiter for assistance and was met with attitude and a feeling like we were out of place when we just wanted to have what we needed to enjoy our meal. Looks like a great place to watch a game and grab a beer, that wasn't my ave but something worth checking out. Hopefully you have a greater experience than I did. I wont return.

I lived in AZ for the last 5 years and worked in NM. For a Midwest Mexican restaurant, I have never been disappointed in the food. It's consistently good. It's a good place to get good food. This is our go to for a sit down dinner. So many places these days are just disappointing and horrible service. Teresa's is always good food with good service.

Usually a good place to eat, but went there last sunday and the staff seemed a little off, they were not that busy and it took a while for someone to seat us. Got done eating and both of us did not feel right, thought maybe the salsa was too hot? But it was likely the enchiladas we had. We barely made it home, extreme gut issues, and i have had them ever since, just when it seemed to get better, it then comes back. Too bad, hopefully we get better soon. But I don't think I'll go back, very nervous about that. Was thinking cook ware was not rinsed properly? My ma did find some bone fragments and some little stick looking stuff in the ground beef.

Food is good, our server was very attentive and alot of fun. Gave us good tips on drinks! Good selection of food choices. GREAT atmosphere! Just always enjoy going there, plus they have a patio!
