The staff was a delight despite the fact that they advertise the fact that they are short-staffed and invite you to apply ;) But we were there for the food (I wish the drink as the bar was lovely!). We were driving from Des Moines to Minneapolis and decided to hop off the beaten path to Lake Mills. A great little town! We each had a side salad with thousand island dressing. Typical diner-style salad of romaine lettuce, cheese, tomatoes, onions. Fine, but nothing to write home about. Then we split the burger and fires. We went with the burger on a pretzel bun (I always think they will be better than a regular bun, but should just get the regular. Nothing wrong with this one--nice and fresh, just never what I think they will be.). Anyway, the burger was fantastic and the fries were crispy, not greasy, and a generous portion. The menu was quite diverse and we will make this trip again to check out more options. It's worth a stop just to be in the old bank building and to take a walk down Main Street!

Second visit, once for lunch, and this time for supper. It is a great atmosphere with old tile, signs, wood floor, and full bar. The tables are a mix of high and low top so a variety of choices for seating. The flat iron steak and butterfly shrimp dinner was delicious. The nachos could feed four people easily. The spicy chicken pieces and the spicy sour cream made the nachos a step up from the normal cheese on chips presentation. We enjoyed our evening, tried a new Cabernet, and will return again when we are in the area.

First time here, I have heard great things about this place. I got the big Philly. It was definitely big and delicious! The meat was tender, salty, and very flavorful. It has lots of melted cheese and veggies, and the bread tasted fresh. I really enjoyed my sandwich and it was very filling.

The atmosphere was friendly and busy. Service was fairly quick and we weren't constantly bugged at our table. The Tochos were excellent, fresh ingredients and cooked well. The BBQ pulled pork/bacon/macaroni had good flavor but the pork was a little tough. The fish tacos tasted excellent however the fish was a little soggy, probably frozen fish. Overall would recommend,

This should be a great restaurant, but it isn't. They have three locations, so they are obviously successful. They have a large, varied, creative menu as far as it goes. They are in a small town where the choices are limited. But their problems are little, and numerous to make them successful. The food is fairly good, but it is unnecessarily salty (always, every dish) and a bit expensive for what it is. My prime rib didn't need extra salt, nor did the bread or au jus, but it was there. The host did nothing but color for 30 min while I was there. The bartender didn't have much to do, but still couldn't make half the drinks and was immature joking about stalking a girl online from an order. The website menu links for each location don't link to a pdf version of the menu for each town, rather they link to Facebook pages with incomplete images of the menu somewhere on the page. I'm happy that I found draft cider, but honestly almost anything is better than Angry Orchard. They could really make this place much better with some attention to the details and more professional staff, but maybe unprofessional staff is why the changes aren't being made? I'm going to be around this area for a couple years and honestly, there's at least four better restaurants within a 30 min drive.

Always have great service. The people that work here are quick to greet you. Very friendly, and they will accommodate you if you have special requests. The food is prepared how you ask for it. My personal favorite is the flat Iron Steak. Highly recommend. Tom Rollo

HORRIBLE SERVICE!! We went for dinner on Saturday night. It was busy, but we were not in a hurry. We asked for coffee with cream and sugar. The coffee came but no cream and sugar. We asked every employee who passed our table. I finally went to the bartender, who was doing nothing, and he couldn't even produce c&s. I ordered a hamburger, simple enough. But I got something you could use as a shoe sole. The waitress kept asking us "is there anything I can get you right now?" but we couldn't even get cream and sugar for our coffee. As the crowd thinned out the staff gathered around the bar talking and goofing off. I will not return.

We love Teluwut, it's one of my favorite places to eat. Food is great and the servers are awesome. We do a lot of hunting in the area and make it a point to hunt Saturday so we can eat lunch there.
