It was fun to sit and have tea in this fancy hotel. The service was friendly but it took too long for the food to come out; like we waited an hour for the food and I drank way too much tea during the wait. The tea was black currant tea, so it's not a choice of teas. The savories were just ok, but the bread on the tea sandwich was dry. The scones were good and I enjoyed the candied nuts and the sweets. The pineapple mousse was my favorite.

Amazing high tea experience! The service was amazing and all the food was interesting and delicious. The lobby is beautiful and the tea was unlimited! Great girls afternoon activity.

Growing up I had several tea parties for my birthday so it was really special to bring my mom for tea at The Saint Paul Hotel after many years have passed since then. The setting was beautiful, various sitting areas were set up in an open room near the lobby and front desk so you could see hotel guests wandering through and the hotel itself is so beautiful. The hostess sat us at our spot with two comfy chairs and a beautifully set table. We were quickly served a delicious black currant tea and the servers always nearby to refill your cup. Each course of food was delicious on the Harvest Tea menu but I particularly enjoyed the 1st, 3rd, and 4th courses - who doesn't love mini sandwiches and mini desserts? This is a perfect activity to connect or celebrate with friends, family or a loved one!

The ambience is exceptional but the food is a bust. No choice of teas, just served black currant and chamomile. But this is not kept a secret, we did know this in advance! Tea at other venues offer a wide selection, we just thought the food and ambience would makeIt worthwhile. The food is not good. For example, the mini donut is hard and unappetizing, the scones are dense and unlike any other I have ever experienced in texture. It could have been mitigated with a clotted cream and jam, but is instead served with butter. The candied nuts are one unexceptional lump, and who needs dry blueberries and anemic strawberries? All in all not a great experience. Service is definitely good, but nothing exceptional. Our server did not offer the option of champagne, and we had to wait 15 minutes to ask for it, when we saw her again. The drive up to Blaine for the Mad Hatter tea is worth it.

Very elegant & highly recommend. Contrary to other reviews, they do serve teas other than their signature black tea - which, by the way is very good. I drink a good English Breakfast tea or Assam typically, so asked and they had it. It is the same quality brand as their signature tea & I drank nearly two pots. The biscuits & treats were fine - if some are too hard for your liking, dip it in your tea. Our favorite's were the sandwiches & the tea.
