This is the perfect activity for your time in Taylor's Falls! We rented kayaks for the trip to Osceola on a Friday, so it was $36 for a single Kayak. Kayaks are your normal sea kayaks where you sit on top, nothing too special. Appreciated that there was a shuttle to take us back to where we parked! The day we went was WINDY, and we were going against it the whole time. Be prepared to paddle for about 3 hours if this is the case. We stopped for one 15 minute break, and did this in almost exactly 3 hours. Easy for non-experienced kayakers, but rough when the wind is blowing against you.

Such a great activity when in Taylors Falls! We had a group of 6 with some experienced kayakers and some beginners and all were able to have a great time. The 7-mile trip to Osceola took us about 3 hours with some pretty strong winds blowing against us the entire trip and a 15 minute stop at the halfway mark. Be sure to pack plenty of water and sunscreen, and a waterproof phone bag if you want to take some pictures! The rental was affordable and the shuttle back to the starting point was nice, especially with how tired we were after the trip!

This was worth the sunset cruise. Everyone was very nice and we learned a bit about the area and how the river was formed. We enjoyed the cruise and recommend it for you too. If you can't make the sunset cruise, try one of their other ones available.

Not really impressed. It was $75 for two kayaks, which isn't terrible, but they were crap kayaks. I wasn't expecting high end, but it took a while just to find one that had both foot pegs. They aren't taken care of at all, which is honestly fine for people that don't kayak often or know what they are doing. I'm sure most people who rent don't even know about foot pegs. After we got out on the river it was really relaxing. I was a bit worried with the amount of people when we pulled in, but the river is so huge that you don't even notice the school bus full of people. They said it's a 2-3 hour trip for the shorter route, we lollygagged allllllll the way and stopped a couple times and made it in exactly 2 hours. If we were actually pacing ourselves and just went straight through it would have been probably less than an hour. It was an absolutely beautiful trip down the river. Beautiful sunny day..water was perfect temp. I'm used to a bigger kayak and the little currents liked to spin the kayak a bit which was annoying. These are short little things I would love to go back and maybe try a canoe next time. I wish they had two levels of kayaks...$75 for those crappy ones was not worth it.

Great experience! Management worked with us when we had a special request and made our river experience amazing! They provided clear directions on how to find the pick up spots and the guys loading equipment were all so friendly and helpful.

Super quick and straightforward experience. Came with a group of 18 people total and we got 6 canoes for a price of $218.45. Came on July 4th but we got a slightly discounted group rate. The river and scenery is beautiful and the shuttle at the end was on time. The shuttle is just a standard school bus so don't expect anything too fancy. Great experience and everything you would expect. Just a standard canoe rental place.

On a beautiful summer day we made our ways to Taylors Falls Canoe and Kayak Rental in an effort to enjoy a relaxing day on the St Croix River. The rental location is easy to locate and there is plenty of parking. Essentially, upon renting a canoe or kayak you enter the river with the rented boat and drift down river a couple miles to a pickup site where you are then shuttled back to the original site to pick up your car. We were able to complete the rental process and quickly found our boats. The canoes are standard issue light weight metal with optional life jackets. When we visited the river was moving at a very brisk pace and seemed to be fairly shallow with some areas where an average human could not stand. Once we were all settled, we loaded up our canoes and started paddling. Overall we had a nice experience floating and paddling down river. We brought some food and drinks and gingerly made our way. The entire experience took us roughly two hours from point of entry to exiting the river. The trips are pet friendly and we did see several people bring dogs into the canoes. Consequently, we also saw some dogs using the river as a restroom along the shorelines. But I suppose that is apart of nature. Personally, the only draw backs I can find with the entire experience was the nonexistent early pick up times at the end of the trip. The first pick up is not until 2pm which essentially prevents you from starting the trip until noon. This is a very small inconvenience that I took a star away as a result. Overall, we had a good time and enjoyed paddling down the St. Croix River.

My fiancé and I rented a canoe here on Saturday 7-9 and brought our small dog along for the ride- we all had an awesome time on the river!! Not the mention the staff is super polite and accommodating. We didn't even have to wait in line to get our canoe because I had pre- ordered online so they set us right up. We liked that there were multiple shuttle options back to the park so we could paddle at our own pace and have time to stop at beaches and swim along the way . We will certainly be back again!

Considering we went during this COVID 19 pandemic, it was a very smooth and easy process. Kayaks are sitting there ready and waiting for you and you can be as leisurely as you like on your paddle, as they have many pickup times. Just make sure not to get on the wrong bus back like we did. There is a few different kayaking tour companies. Luckily, the driver was gracious enough to bring us right back, so we could get on the right bus.

It was recommended to reserve via website. The day that we booked the canoe rental for was raining and thunder storming out and for safety reason we didn't want to canoe. We called figuring we could get our money back under the circumstances. Boy we were wrong.. Amy told us no that there policy was no refunds, we tried to make our point that it was raining they didn't care and actually hung up on us please don't book through this company, book with wildwood campgrounds instead family ran place and they won't steal your money
