Tavern on First

Tavern on First is a great local pub near Camp Ripley, MN. It's very bright inside, well designed and features touch tunes. There's plenty of options to choose for seating, from tables, and bar side. They have several options for beers on tap and a full bar. Immediately upon entering we were seated and ordered. The food comes up quickly and is delicious. As a starter I had a side salad with chipotle ranch. The side salad is a very large portion and worth the price. However the chipotle ranch is just meh and the regular ranch would have been better likely. I had the bourbon chicken for dinner but put it on Texas toast instead of the standard bread it was so flavorful and delicious. The fries were also super crisp. They also have one of my favorite beers "mango cart" on tap. Our server/bartender although I cannot recall her name took great care of us and the pricing for everything we a very reasonable. Overall I would gladly come back when I'm doing training at campRipley again and will highly recommend Tavern on First.

Amazing how a bar like this is only open for breakfast and brunch. It is well worth it. I had 1/2 order of biscuits and gravy chorizo style. It was delicious and more than enough. We also had a breakfast style of fried rice that was very good. Service was excellent.

Very reasonable prices. Great service. Fun ambiance. Some of the best burgers in Little Falls.

We were in town for a wedding this weekend and since we had some time before the wedding we decided to get a drink. We had already eaten so we didn't get to try the food, but from what I saw going past us from the kitchen and what people were saying around us the food is terrific as well!!This is only a review of the bar and the atmosphere since we can't speak to the food, but the space is fantastic. The bar is a unique shape that increases their ability to have more seating and the stools are comfortable. As a shorter person bar stools are not always my friend, but the bar has a nice footrest and purse hooks too so I had somewhere to put my feet I instead of dangling them and somewhere to stow my purse too. Much appreciated! They have a number of TVs for watching various sporting events and great music to just add to the ambiance.The drinks are very well made and the service was fantastic. The team behind the bar worked well at checking in and balancing the bar work with doing kitchen runs to get the food out hot. They were warm and friendly and we enjoyed chatting with them a bit.We would love to come and try their food next time I am up in the Little Falls area but it was an enjoyable experience!

Really impressed with the variety on the menu, quality of the food, and friendliness of the staff! We often have a hard time finding places open later in the evening with a good variety of food - here, their kitchen is open until 9:00, and you can get more than just fried food or pizza! We got the wings to share and they were sooo yummy! Crispy on the outside juicy in the inside and plenty of sauce! We had the Garlic Parmesan, it did not disappoint. I had the Tavern Salad - fantastic, and so nice to have a salad option that was new and exciting around here. I got the dressing on the side because I don't like a lot of dressing and the salad on its own was so good it did not even need the dressing!! It's not always easy to find a delicious and interesting salad at a reasonable price - so happy they did it here!

We visited during arguably the busiest day of the entire season for the town (arts and craft festival), and wanted nothing more than to rest our feet and have a beer before entering the shopping frenzy again outside. The man behind the bar greeted us like we were old friends and even asked what treasures we'd found. He recommended the smoked gouda mac and cheese, and wow, was that a good recommendation! The rest of the ladies behind the bar were just as friendly and attentive. Whoever owns or manages the place must really love their job, because the employees love theirs. Definitely a hit with us!

Little scary when the clientele has a baby shower at a bar. Other than those local sketchballs, the burgers were okay. Poor server was all alone!

Walked in and there just a relaxed atmosphere which made it a chill place to get a bite and a drink.
