Food was soooo good! The owners were extremely welcoming and friendly and happy to serve us! We will be back! I hope they grow and move to a larger place so there's more room for more people to enjoy!

This tiny restaurant is situated in a strip mall on the Highway 65 east service road. The best approach is off Osborne Road, behind the gas station on the northeast corner. We purchased two street tacos (steak), a chicken burrito, and a large cup of elote. There is limited indoor and outdoor seating, but we chose to do take out. At $3 per, the 2-3 bite tacos struck us as pricey, but the burrito offered good value, with a nice balance between the rice and chicken. Both meats were bland, so we put the large wedges of lime, and two of the sauces, to good use. Note that the hot sauce is very hot indeed! The serving of elote was very generous, and we enjoyed it ... especially after adding some of our stash of smoked brisket to the dish.Looking forward to a return visit if in the neighborhood at meal time.

Excellent no frills casual style Mexican food - 4 stars. This restaurant just opened about 5 weeks ago. They're right on the east side of Central Avenue on the frontage road (next door to Biff's pool hall). It isn't fancy. It's a small space, bare bones, and simple with just a few tables. They're mostly setup for takeout. If you eat in, you order up front and they bring it to your table. These folks also own the Mr. Taco food truck that's always parked a couple blocks north. So if you like Mr. Taco, you'll love Taqueria Vallarta. The menu is the same as the food truck except the bricks & mortar restaurant has many more food and beverage options.I started things off with a large glass of horchata and an order of corn chips & salsa. For the main course I got a burrito loaded with chorizo & chicken. The burrito was huge and flavorful. They also gave me 3 hot sauces with 3 levels of heat. I liked the cute little sides that came in the basket with my burrito too. They gave me a couple of lime slices and a thin sliced radish. Finally, I love the beverage options. They have horchata and hibiscus drink in a dispenser on the front counter in addition to a wide selection of Jarritos Mexican soda (and many standard sodas) in bottles & cans.Overall, I had a nice experience. The family members that run this place (multiple generations) are very friendly. I enjoyed talking to them. And I really loved the mother who was whipping up love in the back kitchen. She delivered my food to the table with a big smile.Support a locally owned business and stop by.Thumbs up!-Maxx

I very much love Mexican food. Just happened to find this little gem in Spring lake park today. It's off of a service road kind of tucked behind a gas station. Space is pretty small but the food is amazing. We got Chicken Alambre and Steak Tacos. Both dishes were equally delicious. They have four different salsas, from mild to really hot. We both loved the really hot salsa and the hot one. The salsas are usually what makes me decide if I like the place or not. I 100% recommend this place. Can't leave without applauding their customer service. The place is run by a family. Felt like I was at home with their friendliness and care. Will definitely be back for more.

This is a hidden gem. Ordered al pastor, carnitas, and carne asada. Best tacos we've had so far. Well seasoned meat. The sauces are the cherry on top. Extra spicy is actually really spicy.

Excellent service. All of the staff was very nice and helpful. The food was good. Nachos had a good amount of cheese and veggies and the quesadilla was cooked well. I would guess that most people go there for the tortas though. It was huge and delicious!!

Fantastic food! I loved the quesabirria that I got, and my wife thought the birria burrito bowl was great. The owner, José, came to talk with us as we were finishing up. It's clear he loves what he does, and cares a lot about only serving food he's proud of. His happy and outgoing personality adds to the atmosphere as well. Highly recommend!
