Ok, I eat a ton of Mexican food all over the country and this place is just ok at best. The salsas were solid and that's pretty much where it stops. The fajitas were posted at $11.99 but they charged me $13.99 which was bothersome. The chicken was pretty bland and had a weird texture which was disappointing. No pico, no jalapeños I won't be back.

This place is a gem. The tacos are authentic and I love the self serve condiment bar for the tacos. The salsas and garnishments are fresh and crisp. I highly recommend getting the horchata drink. It's a beautiful refreshing drink that tastes like rice pudding in a cup but is obviously not thick and is a cool drink. I recommend the carnitas and Barbacoa for the tacos. The pork option has pineapple. I tried that one and I wasn't a fan. I want to go back again and try the fried whole fish. Those are my weakness. The guacamole is also made fresh and is very tasty. Highly recommend this place.

Taqueria La Campechana opened up in Waite Park a few weeks ago. Its location may be easy to overlook, but I think everyone should make the effort to come here! They offer a variety of authentic Mexican food at cheap prices.I love their savory tacos ($1.99/taco)! My favorite is their barbacoa tacos. They also have spectacular carnitas and carne asada tacos. I tried ordering the tripas taco yesterday, but they told me it was not available, so just a heads up that they may not always have the meat you request. The first time I was there, I was confused when they handed me two plain tacos with only meat...my friend and I realized that you put your own toppings on at their salsa bar. By toppings, I mean everything. From onions and cilantro to salsa and guac, you decorate your own tacos however you see fit! I recommend the orange salsa...it doesn't look like it's all that spicy, but the kick hits you when you least expect it...I couldn't feel my mouth for a good 5 minutes because my mouth was burning, but it was good kind of burn; just put a few dollops of it on your taco, and it'll be perfect!Another good dish to try is their Sopes ($3.50). My friend order it with the barbacoa meat and the corn masa tortilla was crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. I usually am not a fan of refried beans, but it was a nice touch to this dish. They also have vegetarian options! Their vegetarian quesadilla is delicious! As for drinks, they offer pop and water (there is no free water, you must purchase bottled water) and there are no alcoholic drinks here, so don't come here lookin' for margaritas. This is a great place to bring your family! You can order takeout or they have tables there if you'd rather dine-in!

Another more authentic Mexican offering for the Saint Cloud environs makes El P. happier. This one happens to be pretty mom and pop, which also makes El P. happier. It serves decent salsa verde, which also makes El P. happier. It's no Triunfo (see Northfield reviews), but it's better than Anejos by far. And it makes Mexican Village look like a bombsite. It used to be a food truck. Now it's a food destination.

The tacos were excellent they had great taste my husband and I had got asada, Al pastor & de lengua! However the tables needed to be wiped down and the salsa bar as well, Most salsas looked to be just about old and the limes were pretty old too.

Authentic, Mexican food made to order. We had a Torta Cubano, tamales (weekends only) and a chicken quesadilla (nice stringy cheese). All the food was delicious. It's a hole in the wall kind of place but worth a stop. We will definitely be back.
