Tally Ho Supper Club

1) it was tricky to make reservations for a Large group, they would not let us get the time we wanted but had openings2) there are hidden charges to your bill, they quoted us one price for an entree, and charge us a different amount 3) if you order an appetizer, they charge you extra money 4) there is 3% service fee5) mussels were bad - over cooked and old 6) chicken Parmesan was not good - over cooked and hard7) fries were cold8) bread was really good9) califlour rice was not good, salmon was dry10) cocktails were good11) there was no prices on wine, they were generic and did not actually tell you any detail on them

Cute little supper club. We had a reservation for 12 and the dining room was pretty busy. Lovely supper club atmosphere, decent cocktails and old fashioned customer service by the owner and other staff. Dinner rolls, salads and homemade dressings and soup were amazing. Entrees took a while which was okay but were not up to snuff when considering how high the prices were and did not all come out at the same time. Both tenderloins were overcooked (we did not send back as it would have taken way too long). Potatoes were lukewarm. Lobster was okay. Seafood plates were okay. Pasta dishes decent. Overall a good experience but the kitchen definitely had some difficulties, it sounds like someone was maybe out. The owner did send us home with complimentary shortcake. A couple other miscellaneous. items - they add a 3.5% card fee to the bill and they don't split checks.

The Tally Ho continues to be a great supper club experience. From the warm and friendly service, to the cozy & comfortable dining room, and of course the delicious food, this is a great place to enjoy an exceptional meal.

Tally Ho is very cute little supper club outside of Hayward. I went here many years ago as a child. I thought it would be fun to see the place again. We were greeted by the owner, who was very nice. Asked us right away if we had a reservation, which we did. Not sure if we really needed one, dining room never filled up completely. My husband had the Prime Rib, I had the Strip Steak special. The relish, tray, the rolls, the salads were all very good. I was very surprised that the Strip Steak was $63! Which we found out when the bill came. (we know now we should have asked the $$) That very high priced for an okay steak. My husband's prime rib was good, and cooked rare like he wanted.Waitress was very nice, and the young boys clearing the tables were very nice as well. Why the 3 * Not worth the price. If it was a high end restaurant maybe. Hope next year when we are back in Hayward the prices are adjusted and Tally Ho is still open!

What can we say, came on our anniversary, the perfect evening. The staff were so amazing. Food and drinks were perfect. Here is what is left of dessert after we said, let's get a pic!!

Tally Ho was great. Only two other couples were there. Quiet atmosphere and family friendly, as a family came in. Jennifer and Amber were excellent & attentive servers. Would recommend trying while you're in the area.

We have enjoyed dining here in the past. Unfortunately, the last two times we tried to eat there, we had reservations which didn't seem to mean much. First time, we waited, and were seated an hour after our reservation time. Today, we gave up after waiting 30 minutes. I hope they can improve their reservation system, as we have liked their food in the past.

The service and food are amazing!!! My favorite supper club in Wisconsin. Jennifer our server was so attentive. The owner and his family are just the best!!!!

We are supper club connoisseurs and give this place a 10!!Owner as present and welcoming, friendly. Chef came to our table to verify our steak temperature preferences. They were cooked to perfection and melted in your mouth even when well done. The pork special fell off the bone and melted in your mouth. Scallops to die for. Best part of our evening was the delightful service from Richard our server. He is A1 in performance. If you in the area don't cheat yourself out of a great experience at Tally Ho!

Tally Ho was the most disappointing dining experience during our girls' weekend in Hayward. We decided to go there because one of our group members had dined there as a child (with different owners at that time). Well, when we were seated, a few people in our group wanted to leave right away because of the high prices on the menu. The prices were much higher than even fine dining restaurants in downtown Minneapolis. Well, we stayed to eat, but the food was disappointing. My fried walleye was soggy with oil and tasteless. Others at the table were not happy either. The employees were quite loud in the kitchen and the bar area. They were bickering, chatting and laughing loudly while guests were in the dining room. Not what you would expect from a fine dining supper club. As the saying goes, you can never go back. In this case, it was very true and cost us a lot of money.
