We were excited to try this place based on some of the great reviews, and we love finding family-run places that are putting out home cooked style food. The last thing I want to do is bash someone's business, but we were pretty disappointed with Tacos Lupita. None of the food seemed very fresh, and quite honestly a lot of seemed like it came from a can or something. Almost every Mexican restaurant I've been to in the Twin Cities fries their own chips, but this place was clearly using store bought tortilla chips. It also seemed like the enchilada sauce on my enchilada style burrito was not made in-house. The meats were kind of flavorless and dry as well.My hope in writing this review is to provide constructive feedback - not to hurt their business.

Authentic Mexican food at its finest the best guacamole in the Twin Cities. Love the quesadillas appetizer, taquitos, taco salad, tacos and enchiladas. The people who work at Tacos Lupita are friendly and helpful.

9/10 - when the tacos are huge, cheap, and only topped with onion + cilantro, you know it's authentic as heck! The meat was flavorful and not too dry, the service was friendly and very fast, and the best part was the condiments! Looks at the various hot sauces that are available at this place! It's one of those hole in the wall restaurant that you can't stop talking about.

The tacos were amazing! I'm out here from California on a travel assignment. Us Californians know carne asada and Minnesota has been lacking so bad and I have not found a decent Carne Asada taco anywhere..... Until now. The tortillas are fresh and the salsa they give you is so flavorful. Thought I was back in Cali with the delicious tacos they're serving. I will definitely be coming back

The meat didn't taste like al pastor and instead tastes like store bought meat, they gave us tiny ass limes and were trying to charge us 77 dollars for 9 tacos. They were not specific on how many tacos were supposed to cost. There sign said "Tacos" and was 3.25. This place is ass and people should not come at this shit fucking place that scams and taxes us. The food gave me diarrhea the next day.

$18 for a beer and a mediocre burrito for lunch in an order at the counter place. Nah. I feel for small businesses but if you're charging this much, the food should be a bit higher quality. Chile verde sauce tasted like El Pato to me, lukewarm food. Chips and salsa extra.
