Tacos El Primo

nearly everything about this place i love!food: very good. tasty; authentic; good portionsprice: reasonable. considering prices today and inflation, one of the better deals around wait time: FAST. granted i was the only one dining in but they also had orders coming in for pickup. had my food out to me within 10 minutes. awesome!i went with a more basic order purely based on cravings and wanting a simple meal: asada quesadilla meal, which includes beans and rice. i ate about 2/3 of the plate. likely plenty of food for most.i will come back! check this place out and support local.

Wow, this taco truck exceeded my expectations! Here's why:MENU: Okay, their menu is incredible. All your favorite options plus some things I was surprised to be able to find at a taco truck: tres leches and arroz con leche cups?? Esquites AND elotes? Love to see it!PRICES: $3.25 per taco is great, and it's even better when you see how huge they are. $8 for a dilla? That's what I'm talk in' about!SIZE: The quesabirria and carnitas tacos I got were packed to the BRIM with juicy meat, cilantro, onion, plus pickled onions and lime on the side. One of the best endowed tacos in the cities, I'd say!SERVICE: Was fast and friendly. Stop by and give them a try - you'll be hooked!

These were the first tacos I had two year ago when I arrived in Minneapolis, and they've held their own over time! Simply the most delicious tacos in the Twin Cities, and my partner agrees. We often take out Chorizo tacos for dinner and they're the best we've had so far, try them! Service is always friendly, give them about 7 minutes for your order to be ready. For the price and quality you get, Tacos El Primo is unbeatable. Green and red sauces accompany your order, but my personal favorite is a good squeeze of fresh lime and you've got yourself a delicious treat.

I absolutely love this place! It's cash only and in an abandoned Kmart parking lot and it's the best place to get some tacos. I love supporting small businesses and that's 100% what this is. I cannot exaggerate how dope this place is they charge 3$ a taco a they fill it it so nice not like these other places that be overcharging and with double tortilla you can't beat that highly recommend this place you won't regret it

First of all I believe food trucks are vastly over rated. It seems hip and cool to discover great food cooked in a truck (aka street food) however my experience so far has been that food trucks are pretty mediocre. I grew up in Texas and have been eating tacos all my life and I would have to rate the tacos and service at Taco el Primo as some of the worst I have experienced recently. First the service. I ordered at the window and there was definitely a communication issue. For variety I ordered five tacos, each of a different filling - pastor, barbacoa, etc. I also ordered the plate with rice and beans. When I got home and opened the sack which contained my order I found that all five had the same filling - some type of chopped beef. The tacos were dry and flavorless and the salsa was watery and also lacked any flavor. The beans were from a can I am sure and the rice was below the usual low standard for our area. In short this was a pretty miserable experience. If I see Taco el Primo again I will not be tempted to stop.

Place us just authentic. Love it. Has so much character and bomb tacos. Al pastor is the standard go to for me and has always had been. Big tacos for small price

Holy shit, these were the best tacos I have ever had. At first I was a little suspicious with this truck considering it was in front of a ghetto K-Matt and the surrounding area was worrisome. However, after getting the chicken tacos I was absolutely blown away. The flavor of the meat and the amount of chicken was fantastic. I didn't bother to use either of the two sauces they gave me because the tacos alone were JUST THAT GOOD. I will be returning if I happen to drive down Lake St sometime soon.
