I've been to a lot of buffets, and this one was amazing! For a typical Chinese Buffet, they got the ambiance spot on, the structures inside really felt like I was inside of a temple, which is a shocking contrast from outside the buffet.9.9/10The service was amazing as well! The staff were very friendly and unlike most places, weren't intimidating at all! They were pretty quick as well, after finishing my drink they came over to ask if I wanted a refill.8.9/10The food was something else. They had the usual Lo Mein, Hibachi Grill, and sushi. However they had something I don't usually find often. Barbecue Ribs. The seasoning and sauce on them were different from any other ribs I had before, it wasn't too sweet and too dry.10/10Overall, I really love the place, I will look forward to coming again.Thank you for serving me!

Super Star just recently opened up in Coon Rapids and very much reminds me of Super Moon Buffet in Golden Valley (not even sure that's still there). They have a pretty wide assortment including most standard Chinese dishes, some sushi, and a Mongolian grill. I'm never a huge fan of buffets, but service is fast, prices aren't terrible, and you could absolutely do some damage here!3 stars may not seem like much, but this is a solid little buffet comparatively!

So happy to have Chinese buffet back open in Riverdale. We've been waiting a long time since the Mandarin Buffet closed. From the outside, you don't notice any changes besides the signage. But it's definitely noticeable as soon as you open the door. Now there is separate entrance and exit in the vestibule. I love that you pre-pay at the counter (similar to Pizza Ranch) and when you're done dining, you can just walk out. And beverage is included, not extra. We sat ourselves. Walking around looking for seating for 2 people, all the booths around the dining room perimeter were taken. Only tables left. The tables were long and could seat a group of 8+. We just sat at the end of one. Some tables had 2 groups, 1 at each end, but were still far enough apart between them. Observing the buffet, there were lots of options. There was a Mongolian grill with a line of people picking out their frozen proteins/vegetables and a cook working his skill on the grill. Fun to watch! Then 4 tables of hot food with the usual suspects: fried rice, lo mein, shrimp/ chicken/ beef in all the sauces/ on skewers.Deep fried goodies: Cream cheese wontons, egg rolls and sugar donuts. Saw minimal "American" food: bbq ribs and French fries. The biggest table was the cold foods: jello, fruit, pudding, salad. The desert table had the classic almond short bread cookies, something that tasted like dry air paper drizzled in chocolate and an ice cream machine with strawberry or chocolate syrup. Walking out towards the exit door, I noticed a water feature. Maybe a future coy pond because I didn't see any fishes swimming. Now for my opinion. Love the remodel. Great lighting/ambience/decor.Clean (no sticky tables or floors!). Fast, friendly service (drink refills, bussing of tables).Food was HOT and replenished. Sis and I judge Chinese buffets against our favorite: Supreme Hibachi. But based on this encounter, Supreme Star might take the #1 spot. Items eaten between the 2 of us: fried rice, lo mein, garlic green beans, coconut shrimp, Mongolian beef with onions/peppers (pre-made, not the grill), black pepper chicken, sesame chicken, general zao chicken, butter and creamy mushrooms, cream cheese wontons, honey dew, cantaloupe, broccoli salad, sugar donut, almond short bread cookies and ice cream.

As far as Asian buffets, this one is one of the better ones. They were a lot of choices and everything was replenished quickly. The biggest selling point was their hibachi grills. They had a variety of items and many different sauces to choose from. I love seafood and the fried fish and mussels were tasty. This will definitely be in my rotation given I have a hungry teenage boy. Bonus for having chocolate and twist option for ice cream.

Adding this spot to our buffet rotation! My fiancé and I had gone to the buffet that was previously here and we were not impressed. We drove by again a few months later and noticed a new spot had opened up so we had to check it out. We walked in and were immediately impressed! We were sat right away and able to grab food as soon as we sat down. My fiancé loved the decor, especially the fountain wall lol everything was very clean and organized. The Hibachi grill was open and we loved that we could build our own meal. The sushi selection was also nice, we would suggest a few more options but there was a decent amount there! The staff did a good job making sure everything was well stocked and there were plenty of options to choose to eat. Overall we had a great experience and we will be back!

This newly remodeled restaurant is a such an improvement over the previous location. I almost want to be selfish and not give a review so it remains a hidden gem. But if you are looking for an excellent Chinese buffet you have to try them. Amazing!!

Not sure what the hype is about this place. The only thing I liked was the craw fish and they were always empty.

The food was the same as before alot of it was tasteless and the wings are always good the steak is very tough shrimps were okay but the price has increased they were fast to clean the table but deserts were not many I was expecting it to be better than before but didn't happen would I come again I don't believe so my family was disappointed and we left 30 minutes later for $75 . They could have better fried rice and add the egg fu yung probably not since the price of eggs has gone up. But yes I will let you decide try it and let us know what you think.
