Went to Steele & Hops for a ladies holiday dinner on a Wednesday evening, it was packed! Thankfully we made a reservation ahead of time. The decorations added to the festive spirit and made for great photo spot options. The food and drinks were delightfully unique and with so many to choose from we shared a number of the menu items. In the small plates section, we tried the Goat Cheese Toast, the Whipped Feta Dip, and Stuffed Zucchini Blossoms. All were delicious with the Whipped Feta coming in as number one.For meals, we ordered the Margherita Flatbread, the Thai Zoodle Pasta, the Beef Stroganoff, an Apple & Goat Cheese Salad, the BBQ Brisket Melt, and the Gyro Bowl. We didn't share the main meals but each person enjoyed their dish. With so many great choices to eat, drink, and a fun atmosphere, we plan to go back to try more.

My third time, and I'm still a fan. It's a nice establishment, with ample seating in the bar and dining areas. That said, if you can plan ahead and make a reservation to be safe. As for service, I've interacted with employees who are warm and welcoming, and with those who were cold and seemed bothered by your presence. Thankfully the latter has yet to ruin my experience! Also, despite how busy it's been during my visits, the food and drinks have come out in a timely fashion. The cajun dry rub wings are my favorite, but the second time I got them... the blue cheese was flavorless. The birria egg rolls were tasty; filled with beef and cheese. However, the consume was bland and too watery. A dish I've enjoyed in the past was the goat cheese toast appetizer. It has walnuts and cranberries which all go so well together. This is definitely a spot that I've recommended to others.

3.5 stars for Steele & Hops. I wanted to give them a 4, but the service was so painfully slow it was almost comical. I was with a party of 5, and we ordered apps, drinks and dinner. We shared the cheese curds, pot stickers & chicken wings. We wanted the burnt ends instead of wings, but they were out of them. My friend and I both ordered the Cajun pasta. It had great flavor with lots of shrimp & sausage - but my bowl came out super saucy with not a lot of noodles, and hers was more dry with a lot of noodles. Inconsistent. Pinot Grigio was nice and crisp! We would have had more cocktails, but again the service was so incredibly slow we decided to grab more drinks somewhere else.

Had reservations for a date. Got seated in the middle of the main seating area which has cold metal seats. Would have rather sat on the patio or in a booth. It gets a little loud in the section we sat in when the restaurant gets really busy. Had a voodoo ranger beer which I love. Had the Alice and Wonderland cocktail which was awesome! So cute!! Light and refreshing and fun!!!Shared the Prosciutto & Peach flatbread with my date. It was good, but got a little wet and soggy towards the middle. But overall the flavor was spot on!We also shared the Stuffed Zucchini Blossoms. I love stuffed zucchini blossoms and these were good but a little fried tasting. I guess like fried oil is what I mean. All in all it a was a good experience and I'd visit it again if I was in the area but wouldn't go out of my way since it's a little far for me.

We were briefly in the Minneapolis-St. Paul area, technically, staying in New Brighton. We needed a restaurant that wasn't far from our hotel where a few co-workers from my wife's company and us could grab a bite to eat with reasonable pricing. Steele & Hops was pretty goodMost of us had either burgers, wings, or salads, or a combination of a couple of items. The smoked wings buffalo style was really good with a lot of flats, which I prefer. The butter burger was decent with a gluten-free bun and broccoli slaw. The bacon jam on the burger was ok, fairly sweet. The cocktails were hit or miss. The Pickle Jen Martini wasn't as pickle-forward as I would like, tasting more of the gin than the pickle juice. The Peach Buzz Margarita worked a lot better with the hot honey, and the honey stirrer being a nice touch for mixing the cocktail as the ice melted. Located in a shopping plaza in St. Anthony Village. The restaurant had plenty of parking both around the building and next to it in the main lot. The interior with its dark gray trim and white walls, with black leather booth seating was classy. The bar looked very nice with the liquor shelving if you were just looking to have a beer or two and some appetizers. The service was good as we tended to receive our orders fairly quickly.

Had dinner here on a busy Friday night and overall it was enjoyable. Amongst our group we had a variety of items, with the standouts being the cheese curds with the smokey blueberry dip, the burnt ends and the burgers. While we didn't have any drinks the variety of mixed drinks looked great, and I would go back for a happy hour drink and app sometime soon. Service was good, our server was knowledgeable, kind and attentive.

Very impressed with this place! Have been wanted to make it here for a while and finally made it for a happy hour. We got seated right away, it is super cute inside. Very modern and clean. They even had live music on this Friday night! We got some mocktails, the dragon fruit nojito was yummy. Very good flavor. The appetizers were amazing. Like so good I would come back them alone. The corn beef egg rolls were the best thing I ate all night! So good. The others were still delicious though. For entrees, I got the dynamite shrimp bowl and my husband got the Brie burger. Both were really good! Can't wait to come back and try the other things on the menu!

Had a terrific lunch there today, 3/3/25. Place smelled great from the front door, and it got better from there. No waiting, attentive staff, nice menu, comfy booth seating... the burger was perfectly done, super fresh soft sand chewy bun, and broccoli slaw was a perfect side. Wish I lived closer so i could visit more often.
