One of the last remaining drive in movie theaters left in our state! This place is an hour and 40 minutes drive for us and we still think it's worth it to come out at least once a year. I really love watching new release movies from the comfort of my own vehicle where we can laugh and chat without disturbing others. I really appreciate how they've landscaped the ground so that the vehicles are tilted upwards and we can have great views while comfortably laid back in our seats. It's not luxurious, but it's low cost and good wholesome fun. When we went, it was $9 per adult for 2 movies. They have 2 different screens so it's nice to have options. The snacks are also low cost, but I was disappointed in the quality of the cheeseburgers and mini donuts quality. So, we just bring our own meals and snacks. The bathrooms in the concessions building are clean but are old and full of rust stains. However, it's still better than the portable toilets.

We've gone to Starlite a bunch of times this summer. It's the perfect Friday night activity to include the three fur-kids. I love that they allow dogs! They enjoy the outing! They actually watched parts of Beauty & The Beast. The barking wolves caught their attention, but then all of the singing lullabied them to sleep!$7 is not a bad price for 2 movies + the concession items are priced better than at an indoor theatre. The popcorn is really good! It's cash or check only, though. I think the grounds are maintained very well now (in response to a poor review several years ago). The bathrooms are always clean, too. Our first trip, I was worried that the drive-ins might attract kids & drinking, but I've never witnessed any of that. It's a very family friendly atmosphere! Tomorrow night is the last night this season. Looking forward to going next summer!

You never see drive ins any longer. This is a old style drive in except you listen to movie over the car radio. The kids have a blast and ask to go every summer. Its a fun family activity we all enjoy. Our family travels about an hour to go here a couple times every summer. They have two movies (first and second feature included). Sometimes they have strange double features, like a scary movie and kid movie for second feature, but still cheap for two movies. Only other thing is bring bug spray sometimes its bad, sometimes none; you never know. All I know I hope they keep this place going its gotten to be a family tradition for us.

After doing a little exploring and visiting the site of the Starlite, I am a bit nervous to make the trek this summer. Other than shiny new padlocks on the cattle gates, it doesn't look like the place has seen any maintenance in 20 years. After seeing the lack of paving or even crushed rock in the parking area, I am very disheartened to read reviews of the grass not even being cut. I'm giving serious thought to making the longer drive to Long Prairie or Elko for my summer drive-in movie fix.
