Burger Time-- I had forgotten this existed!
Never saw this back in the day. Cavemen herding or fighting dinosaurs with boomerangs. Baby Boomers had NOTHING to do with this.

You can tell they really have a passion. It's like if your best friend's dad had the coolest collection, and lucky you, you got to actually play the games.I never really got into why people would sit at home for hours playing games in their living room, but playing games in an arcade where there's so much to see, and other people enjoying themselves... It's honestly perfect. I brought friends here, they've brought friends here, they brought kids here... Just bring everyone. The variety is insane. Something for everyone, 100%. (And it's never too late to have that all. You can play arcade birthday party you've been dreaming of since you were 8 years old. Throw that party for yourself here, now.)

Pretty pricey but worth it if you have a few hours to dedicate (and you can go and come back). So many games! I loved seeing what they had and was super bummed I couldn't spend all afternoon here. We brought our 12yo nephew for his birthday and he was bored immediately so we had to leave. Staff was helpful and friendly. We visited shortly after it opened for the day so it was pretty barren. I'm sad pin pall was not included in the $20.I can't wait to go back!

This place is awesome! I was visiting the area and I went twice. 15 dollars for unlimited play. I spent about 2 hours there till I got burnt out and or my hands got tired. Those joy sticks and pressing buttons fast is not joke. Great environment too and nice building with restrooms and food.

Meh. $16 to play games in a tiny area where they're all crammed in, the pinball games are still coin operated, the brewery that once was there is shut down and they don't currently have a liquor license for the rest of the two businesses still in there. The building has potential, but for this location, price and nothing to drink, it's more of a place for parents to take children. Left after playing two games pressed against some other people and headed to Up Down where I had 10 times more fun.

Enjoyed visiting Starcade for my husband's birthday. He loves retro video games and this place was paradise for him. It was an all you can play in a day set price of $15/person. You can leave and come back with a wristband which was nice. There were arcade games from the 70s -2010s, lots of driving games, shooting games, roller ball games, DDR type games in addition to your standard joystick type games. Only thing there isn't is pinball. Definitely brought us back to our childhood on some of them. We'll be back for some more fun!

$20 for all day play would be okay if there were better machines. I'm a Gen X-er, so I grew up on 80's video arcades. It was great playing some classic machines but a few of them weren't working at all. Plus the place is a bit cramped. I've gone to the original Starcade location back at Rosedale Center, and the original location was phenomenal place and had tons of machines including NBA Jam and NFL Blitz plus some Stern pinball machines. However, this new location at Keg and Case didn't have the same vibe at all. My niece and I were both disappointed. FYI, the pinball machines in the main area of Keg and Case aren't included with the $20 all day play. I love playing Stern pinball machines and had to pay extra which was $1 per game. I do hope they improve the machines.

My family visited Starcade on a Sunday morning on our short trip to Minneapolis. We purchased unlimited passes and all played for a couple hours. I've been in a lot of arcades in my day (R.I.P. Aladdin's Castle). Most of them these days might have a handful of games and usually half of them are broken or offline. Starcade has a *huge* collection and I only found one game which was "busted" (the trackball on Centipede was sticky). The staff was really friendly, including the guy who made us a tasty pizza in the "cafe" around the corner. Gamers of all sorts should visit Starcade!

Came here for my kid's 13th birthday party. The folks I chatted with by email were friendly and explained everything perfectly. Price is reasonable - the "party area" is a section of the space that is pipe-and-draped off, and it worked well. Was met promptly, and everything was explained very clearly. The selection of games is perfect - just what I expected as someone who grew up in the 80s and 90s. The games were in excellent condition - I played at least 20 different games and only had controller problems with one - Tempest - and that was no surprise, those spinner games are hard to keep in shape. We were there for 3 hours and the mix of multi-player games kept the nine 13-ish year-old crowd well entertained and I left with my name on the high score of a half dozen games - so fun. The vibe is casual. Recommend checking this place out if you have not already. I'll be back.

Fun place. $20 for an all-you-can-play/as-long-as-you-want buffet of historic & a few recent video games. Amazing array of mechanical and electronic games, many of which unearthed happy buried memories of our Gen X youth. The history of video gaming culture is something I wanted to show my kid, who was unimpressed & was instead super into the few ultra-modern Japanese music games.
