A favorite haunt. We're there for breakfast weekly.I like the Forager omelette a lot. My friend usually has the steak and eggs. The only thing I have had there I didn't like was the Huevos Rancheros.Positive: well lit, clean, service is always bright and friendly. Food comes quickly. They don't mind if you sit and chat after you eat. I've made some casual friends who dine at the same time on the same day. It says a lot about a place that it has a solid core of regulars.Negative: it can get loud if it's busy. Also, the doors form an air gate that makes them slam. But the few negatives do nothing to outweigh the positives.

What a great place!! Small....but great!!Went to brunch with my husband and family and we liked the menu here so decided to try somewhere new. So glad we did and I am already thinking about when I can go back to eat other things :)First of all it is a small place so definitely use the great "wait-list" feature to get on the list when you are headed there. That was SUPER helpful because there aren't a lot of places to stand inside if you are waiting (thanks for the waiting bench though Standish!!). It has a small parking lot attached which is great or you can park on the street if that's full. The interior is really cute and we loved the light fixtures and little details. The Food! The food coming out of this kitchen is AMAZING! The quality is fresh and flavorful, the preparation is perfect, and the menu is varied and really pretty large for a place this size! We started with the Aebelskivers which if you don't know are like little round pancakes. They were perfectly cooked and came with real maple syrup and a beautiful (and addicting) triple berry jam. That jam!! Yum!For entrees our table had the Brunch burger (fantastic with amazing flavor), Commercial Turkey dinner (just like being at Thanksgiving dinner), the BLT w/Feta spread added and the soup of the day for the side (homemade Chicken dumpling soup was SO flavorful and delicious and the BLT was perfection), the Lightfield Chicken sandwich (on a tasty bun), and finally the Avocado Toast (the most perfect egg on top and very tasty). The service from the hostess at the front to the server for our table as well as the kitchen running food were all incredible. If there is one note it is that the prices ride a little high on the Toasts. Avocado Toast is $15 no sides, one piece of medium sized toast. I liked the Feta toast but after seeing that the price was $12 it made more sense to get the BLT and add the feta spread because it was a few dollars different and came with a side. My niece was frustrated because she really wanted Avocado Toast but wanted some kind of side but is was too expensive when the toast alone was already $15. In comparison the Brunch burger with a side is only $2 more?? That price point was disappointing and felt a bit unreasonable for what you got. But other than that it's pretty in line overall for the quality with that one exception.Great experience, fantastic food, cute place!!

The food was all delicious and hot on a really cold day! There were 5 people in our party and we all enjoyed our meals. Our server was very good and attentive. The tables are snug and close together but we were all comfortable. We didn't have to wait long for a table. The berry jam is delicious with the aebleskivers and the sparkling drink! My son and I shared and loved the breakfast burger with hamburger and sausage.

Nifty neighborhood cafe but we graded everything we ate this morning as only a B vs an A. Each dish had one small thing off whether it was too salty, oily or other.

We came here for breakfast the other day and were pleasantly surprised to find that the food was delicious! We first ordered the monkey bread and caramel iced coffees - Yum! The monkey bread was probably the best i've ever had. The huevos rancheros was pretty good as well and had nice flavor combinations. The avocado toast was alright, it could have had a little more flavor, but we just added salt & pepper. The service was nice and pretty quick. They have a cute little patio seating area outside, which is where we had our meal.

This breakfast spot is amazing! This cute little place is located in a great spot and they have a parking lot around the building. We sat on the patio but the inside looked nice as well. The service was fast and respectful. I ordered a Carmel iced latte to get my morning started. I ordered the monkey bread ..... WOW! Then I ordered the avocado toast with a side of scrambled eggs. The food was very good and I will definitely be back to try some more items. I am glad I found this place and I would recommend you to try it.

This has quickly become a favorite of mine for breakfast/brunch eats. It is buried in a local neighborhood and well off the beaten path so no tourists in sight. They have a small private lot for parking but also plenty of free street parking available around the neighborhood. The downsides here are the wait during busy times and the higher cost for most items than many other places competing in this food genre space. But both are understandable given the great selections and quality ingredients used which is what attracts people that like to eat well in the first place. This is a cozy, local eatery type of place with tables in and out. You can call ahead to put your name on a wait list and the weekend brunch lineup should be expected to be out the door. The things that have consistently impressed me on 3 separate visits have been their quality coffee, their Monkey Bread, and their BLT. Local roaster coffee is poured here and has a dark, thick, mocha-esque character. For people that could care less, this might not be a big deal but if you like big steaming mugs of black coffee the way it is meant to be, this place should probably be on your list. Pair it with some of their awesome homemade Monkey Bread and you have the makings of a diabetic induced nap on a weekend morning. But the thing that really keeps me coming back each time is their BLT. This is such a simple sandwich yet not everywhere makes it well. Here, I opt to order it on toasted sourdough instead of their usual bread and it comes with thick slices of heirloom tomatoes, thick cut but somewhat crispy bacon, a large hunk of crunchy lettuce, and the perfect amount of creamy mayo. It pairs with many of their potato options or fruit and It weighs in at about $15 so it is not cheap but it is oh so worth it as a weekend splurge. You would also be wise to note that their kitchen seems to have a south of the border flair and proudly dishes out things with salsas and some heat. I love that they feature "Cry Baby Craig's" hot sauce on the tables and their salsa verde with their egg dishes is also something to look forward to. The service here is friendly, they take credit cards, and so far, they don't add any health and welfare surcharges to your tab like so many other eateries in town are doing. From the outside, this looks like a no-frills neighborhood diner. If you dismiss it and drive by, that is your loss. I recommend breaching the front door for a meal as there is a lot to look forward to here.

Did a brunch on the patio with friends and dog. Tables of 2 or 4 on the patio. Inside is outdated but that is the vibe! Food was incredible was beyond happy with it. I got the avocado toast and chicken links which I recommend both. Split the monkey bread to start and was delicious. The carnitas omelette was also a big hit in our group.

This place is worth the wait for Sunday brunch. It's a smaller quaint place that's packed to the brim with people eating. Our server Evan was great, she was on the ball and gave great recommendations for food. I would also highly recommend getting the coffee, it was hot and great. My partner and I will be going again soon. ** side note the gluten-free pancakes were one of the best I've had **

Our review of Standish Cafe was mixed. The restaurant is cute and decorated with Lego flowers and succulents. We had 4 diners and 2 were happy and 2 were not! I had a club sandwich with feta spread. It was so yummy and feta spread was a great surprise and added a yummy touch. Both children had chocolate chip pancakes and one liked them and one hated them, so who knows. My husband had an omelette and English muffin. It was only ok, but was made worse when the waitress spilled water all over his food when trying to fill up his water glass. She didn't offer a replacement breakfast, but did get napkins. We also paid full price for a breakfast he couldn't eat. One highlight was these little donut/pancake things they made. They were yummy on their own or when dipped in the blueberry jam. Overall, our experience was meh and we wouldn't return.
